Aisha Tyler is about 6 feet tall, too. It was great to cast her for the voice of Lana Kane.

I know I'm going to take hell for being nitpicky...but I wish she didn't have weaves all the time. Can't get a good pull on a sista's hair if she got that shit sewn in.

is it just a given with hair like that its a weave?

Nah, not a given, but it's probable with black women. I have never dated a woman with a weave...and my wife and daughter have hair that long that came from God.

Still, you're right, for most women (besides Asians) if they're famous with hair that long it is most likely a weave.

There was a catfight during the homecoming pep rally/bonfire my senior year of high school. One girl ripped out the other girl's weave and threw it in the fire. Then, all of the friends and then all of the male friends/boyfriends became involved. It was great.

I tried watching Snowden last night.

Levitt's voice impersonation of Snowden makes its difficult and you throw in Stone's penchant for grandasizing what should be compelling characters/plot points at face value and I ended up wanting a better movie.

Its very similar to JFK in character presentation.

Stone has lost steam as he's aged, personally. I didn't expect a lot from that movie.

about 80% of the movie was building up the events in Snowdens life that made him decide to take the documents and release them

I was expecting more about the pressure created after releasing and the fallout from it to be the entire movie

worth watching.

I realize I could actually be the last person to do this but I started binge watching Breaking Bad. I'm now at the end of season 2. Bringing on Saul made a good show must watch TV.

I know I'm a broken record on this but I just fast forward thru the scenes with his wife. I get they have to add her into the mix, I get that there is going to be conflict when your mild mannered high school chemistry teacher gets cancer and then starts skulking around for hours at a time - but I am so over the conflicted housewife thing. Just like Carmella and Tony - no one watches these shows because they want to see 8 is Enough (anyone under 40 go google). You want to introduce a strong female character?, you could have easily had Saul as a woman lawyer, or a DEA agent that was his sis-n-law or even his wife's sister. But don't give me yet another 15 minutes of an hour long show devoted to the wife struggling to cope with what her husband is doing. Either divorce him, shoot him or shut the fuck up.

Jesse's junkie girlfriend? Strong female character....Why ? because she didn't sit around giving 10 minutes of dialog about how hard it is to juggle family and work, or how Jesse isn't the man she fell in love with 10 years later. She's all about doing her thing and being who she is.

Anyway, I'll probably finish it up by next weekend.

Yeah the middle seasons are a little slow but it is all character development and you need to watch them and get through them.

I'm not really complaining about the show - the show is fantastic

I just get tired of the played out family dynamic. Of course that is part of the appeal in one sense - family man by day, drug dealer/mobster/gigolo/ wall street insider/ on the side and that doesn't work if the family is complicit in his activities.

I like the fact that you find the junkie girlfriend a stronger female character than the wife...
