So, every year I attend a guy's golf week put together by my brother. He is older and most of his friends are in their 60's so I'm the second youngest out of the 12. I've noticed that when we go out to eat that alot of them still carry a wad of cash and pay their meals with it. Now, I know back in the day that was pretty standard on golf trips for many reasons, but we are in a digital era and these guys are too old to head out to the strip clubs after, so I guess it's just habit.
Do any of you still like to carry cash to pay for normal stuff? I know Rat and Hedge need it for drugs, but I'm talking about just every day things.
I pay for normal stuff with my Costco Visa card of my ATM cards. I walk around with about $300 cash just-in-case. I figure I'll never need it (and I don't spend it) but there is some comfort in carrying it.

I don’t keep any cash on hand. My wife would clean out my wallet daily if I did.

spent the first part of the week in the area around O' Hare.
Could see Chicago skyline from the office. Going to spend a good part of next week at Purdue University.
seems like I'm traveling a lot again.

I always have $60 or so on me, but I never use it so it stays with for 2-3 months. Then I'll buy something off craigslist or whatever where its a cash transaction.
I also keep a sizeable chunk of cash in the safe in case I see something that I have to have immediately buying it from an individual
the only other reason I use cash is to buy a lottery ticket.

had to go back to Paducah for a funeral over the weekend.
got there a little early on Friday, ended up going over to Sikeston via Cairo, then ended up at an old bar in downtown Paducah called the Silver Bullet.
Not too many 50'ish year olds in downtown after 9pm I found out.
I went to the funeral, got some BBQ sauce at Starnes afterwards and headed out. Might very well be the last time I ever set foot in the town.

Remember that kid that got fed up with his whiney influencer wannabe girlfriend and killed her?
His mom wrote him a letter saying if he needed a body buried, she'd bring a shovel and garbage bags
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brian Laundrie’s mother’s chilling “burn after reading” note in which she promised to bring her son a shovel and garbage bags to get rid of a body was finally made public on Wednesday.
“If you’re in jail I will bake a cake and put a file in it. If you need to dispose of a body. I will show up with a shovel and garbage bags,” Roberta Laundrie wrote in the letter to her son, Brian, who confessed to killing his girlfriend Gabby Petito before taking his own life in 2021.

No wonder this kid was fucked up
