A Tribe Called Quest is one of my favorite groups of all time... in any genre of music. After seeing Michael Rapaport's amazing documentary on the group, I felt inspired to put together a mix and this is the end result. This is NOT a greatest hits mix. This mix is for the true Tribe fans only... the die-hards who know every lyric and remember every interlude. I thought it would be cool to basically create the "lost" Tribe album... with all the rare songs, demos, limited-edition remixes, and collaborations you may have missed over the years. I hope when you enjoy this as much as I do, and hear some things you have never heard before. Special thank you to UNDRCRWN for the amazing artwork. Long live A Tribe Called Quest!

RIP Amy Winehouse. You were a throwback to a different era...apparently in more ways than just having amazing soulful talent.

RIP Amy. She was bipolar, which puts the self-medication/addiction in perspective.

Yeah, not saying I disagree, just saying I never heard a correlation drawn before.

Bipolar types are more at risk for addiction. I think that gets lost amidst the Music Star Dies Young/There's a hell of a band up in heaven nonsense.

I don't have a lot of patience with the mentality that drugs help you create, as you might guess...

Drugs may help you stay quiet long enough to let someone else help make your vision round out, but that's about it.

Bi-polar and addiction have as much in common as Kobe & Kobiashi.

Bet.
I was supposed to see it last night (Friday) with my boy, but I'm selling the condo so I had to do handyman shit in advance of the Open House. So, I'm still gonna peep it in the theater...but good looking on the file nonetheless. I have a feeling I won't be satisfied with just one viewing of it.

FYI,
my sister saw the advanced screening & michael rappaport was present. He made an intro speech sayin there is ***MUST WATCH*** footage on the DVD that isnt present in the documentary
at first people were underwhelmed becuz it came off like a cheap tactic, like they dummied down the doc & dropped the real nuggets on DVD.....
but after the show was done it caused quite a buzz... people were on some "this was crazy thorough, what else could there be?" shyt

Met up with my philipino b-boys at the Jays game
ridiculous, Roberto Alomar bobblehead day
my non-baseball following ass was completely oblivious, til I saw cats scrambling for these joints, one dude busted a full sprint from Union station to get one of them, showed up with sweat spots & didnt care
at the parking lot some dude asked to buy for $150/bobblehead, it never ocurred to me we were holding $900 worth of bobblehead
he got a summary "eff you", hmph.. I guess he was lowballing us, I would have sold right away
anyway, I got the doc on a camera SD Card, heh
These cats will destroy just about anybody on the serrato's, seriously.. I dont wanna drop names but they are some heavy hitters
otherwise, they're pretty clueless with any other technology, a camera SD card, really?
I scrambled to Staples & copped an SD card reader
joint is uploading as I type, I paid to host for 1 month, will send an email tonight, make sure you get in before then
