We're staying at Harrah's for $50 each for 4 nights (2 rooms, 4 of us total) because of some deal my buddy gets for gambling with their Atlantic City affiliates. I told him he needs to gamble more so we can get a Hangover suite (or a Playboy comp for that matter). If these no shows are the same guys screwing around on their wives, you've got some leverage for tomorrow, i.e. "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas as long as I don't have to stay in that fucking booth all day on Wednesday..."

Anybody ever stayed at the Flamingo before? I've read some good reviews and some horrible ones.

I'll be there for free for 3 days while at a conference - then the wife has me paying out the ass for a suite at the Venetian for the 2 nights she will be joining me.

So its strippers, blackjack and a cheap hotel for first half of trip - Venetian, fucking shows and nice eats the back half.

Such is life.

We discusssed it when eCat first mentioned his trip, I think. Mixed reviews, I am not a fan.

Never stayed there. I stayed at the Sahara once though and it can't be more of a shithole than that. I don't really care about the room as long as it doesn't have roaches or bedbugs but I do expect to be eating "well" (in the sense of the better buffets rather than the high end restaurants, at least for the most part). I can't imagine Van Nostron going to work on some of the buffets though, I doubt they'd even allow him to purchase the buffet of buffets http://www.caesars.com/buffets/faq.html because it would make a mockery of the process.

Ate at the Mon Ami Gambi restaurant in the Paris Casino last night. It was ok - nice view of the Bellagio fountains and you can people watch from their outside patio.

Ended back up at the piano bar in Harrah's, drank quite a bit and rented a limo to take us back - trashed the limo and the driver yelled at us, charged us $30 more to clean it up and we were in it maybe 15 minutes tops. Bought some women who we thought were hookers drinks, told them I was Drew Carey's brother. Told us they were from Alberta and I said "You're hookers in Alberta?" which I thought was an innocent enough question. They got pissed and walked away.

If you're going to dress like a hooker in Vegas, then don't be pissed when drunk guys assume you are.

Tonight is House of Blues at Mandalay Bay to see "Steel Panthers". I'm not thrilled with the selection so I may take the night off.

I haven't paid for a drink, cab or meal since the first night. Always have someone with a higher job title with us who puts it on their expense account as part of our group so that's working out for me.

I hear Steel Panthers regularly call out any celebs in the audience to perform with them.

well I'm back home. I had a great time.

I think a week is too long to party like Vegas requires but I did my best. About Thursday 1am I crashed and burned.

quick analysis indicates that in terms of land mass christianity is dominant - in terms of population it would be hindism

I failed to pick up eCat's trail in Vegas, although it did kind of smell like peppermint walking by the Piano Bar at Harrah's. Speaking of Harrah's, while I stand by the claim that it doesn't matter how nice the room is as long as it isn't dirty or infested with something, there's something to be said for not having to walk through the dregs of society in their tee shirts, jorts, and unnecessary scooters every time you go in or out. Next time I'm leaning toward the Cosmopolitan...
