There was a girl named Futch in high school who had a reputation as a troublemaker. She had a face like lizard with wide-spread eyes

Evidently there was some guy in Charlotte named Richard Siskey who ran some sort of ponzi scheme. He committed suicide when he got busted. Here's an auction of some of the cars he acquired over the years:

My question is, after he got caught, did people start referring to him as Slick Dick Siskey?

Got 60 tomato plants in backyard garden. Just now getting ripe.. Been picking cucumbers for the past 3-4 weeks. Probably given away more than 500 to the neighbors and others. Picked 55 the other morning and 41 today. Should have green beans in a couple of weeks...Corn should be ready in about a week. The price of sweet corn seed has skyrocketed over the past couple of years. Used to buy Honey Select and Bodacious for $6/lb. Now it's over $20/lb. The only thing cheaper is fertilizer. A couple of years ago I had to pay $12 a bag. This year I got it for $7.50. Lots of hard work to raise a large garden but as my mom used to say when I got on to her for working so hard in her garden in the hot sun....," it's therapy ".

I can remember my dad telling me how we needed to grow a garden to save money and then he'd go buy a $2000 tractor to support it.

I don't mind it being therapy for him, but when he had my ass out there pulling weeds that's another story

$2000 is cheap for a tractor. I paid $5200 for my Massey Ferguson 35. I plow all the neighbors gardens (and clean their driveways of snow) but never charge them to do it. Almost all offer to pay but I always refuse. Had one neighbor put $50 in an envelope and put it in my mailbox. Tried to give it back to him but he wouldn't take it. I figure you're not much of person if you can't help out your neighbors. Money's not everything

my dad didn't shit for the neighbors with his tractor. He just bought it to ride around on and look busy while his slave labor did the heavy lifting.

Heroin would've salved your rage, to say nothing of your physical pain...

Dan Rather did heroin. The police gave it to him to use so he could do a story on drugs and junkies.
