it appears to me the NCAA is at a point where they will punish the school if the schools is actually willing to accept the punishment.
the rest of them are like "yea we cheated, what are you going to do about it ?" and the NCAA says "hey, they have it under control, we have bigger fish to catch"

yep, which is why UNC came out like a loser when it got all skittish and ran told the NCAA about other shit they would have never even thought to look for. UNC clearly was not ready for big-time football.

There's a curious and somewhat disgusting case of whodunit being investigated by approximately a dozen NFL teams.
A bunch of QBs convene before drills at this year's NFL scouting combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. (USA TODAY Spor …National Football Scouting president Jeff Foster, who runs the NFL scouting combine, confirmed that a hotel room was left trashed during the February 2013 event in Indianapolis. However, Foster refused to identify the two players who shared the room for three nights, though sources have indicated that one of the two prospects is a potential first-round pick in next week's NFL draft.
Foster said nothing was broken in the room, but the bathroom was in such bad shape that a manager from the Crowne Plaza where the players stayed took pictures and relayed them to him. The incident initially was reported by Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune over the weekend.
"I can confirm that a room was left in an inappropriate condition and we're disappointed by both players who occupied the room," Foster said. "There was no material damage to the room; otherwise we would be pursuing further action and really be trying to get to the bottom of the situation. It's just very disappointing, and the people we feel the worst for are the people at the Crowne Plaza who had to clean it up."
The crude behavior included urine and feces scattered about the bathroom, toothpaste on the mirror and garbage strewn about the room. Among the garbage was partially eaten food left on one of the beds. The players to whom the room was registered have denied their involvement to NFL team representatives who have questioned them at their respective pro days, according to Foster and other sources close to the situation.
Foster said that at least 10 teams called him shortly after the incident was reported to him to do their due diligence on the matter. Foster said a couple more teams have called since, including one team that texted him over the weekend after Pompei's story had been published.

If I'm a GM I find out the identity of the fearless rogue who splattered feces all over a crowne plaza room and make him my 1st pick, that's the guy I want leading my team
the kids who left their room meticulous & clean are the perfect personality types for 2nd & 3rd string QB, those are the glue guys, they maybe get an invite to camp and then see where it goes from there

I don't know - how many guys are going to rally behind a guy that uses spreading shit on stuff as his motivation speech? I don't see Ray Lewis talking about how they're gonna go rub their shit in the faces of Tom Brady.

Out of the two dudes, one was expected to be drafted, the other guy was thought to be a camp invitee, at best. It'll be interesting to see if either of them suffer.

Kind of under the radar in the news. Now, in my mind doesn't guarantee anything, just like I thought Big 12's deal didn't guarantee anything. But I knew ESPN had to make a move to hold off Fox in taking over college football.

Next years fantasy football league needs to be at least $50 if not $100. Much more work.

A recent study by the Emory Sports Marketing Science Initiative at Goizueta Business School suggests Kentucky is the place to go if you want to fulfill your NFL dreams.
It’s all backed up by a statistical analysis of draft picks versus college recruiting rankings. They took the number of draft picks by school and then divided by the number of elite recruits by school to find the conversion rate of college recruits to drafted players. Then they did some other mathematical stuff to determine that Kentucky is the best at turning four and five star recruits into NFL players.

Unless you're talking about participating in a league I have never had or endorsed any kind of "fantasy football thing"
