my daughter told me he was holding papers and the papers went up in the air when he was hit.
The ambulance drove away without the lights on or siren so we assume he is dead.

Oh my. I'm so sorry your daughter had to see that. Unforunately, she'll probably remember that scene for the rest of her life.

You'd be ok if one of your husband's colleagues who liked to party talked him and a few others into going to a dance club, renting a VIP booth with unlimited drinks having twenty-something lasses dancing and hanging all over him until 4am? All the while costing him $800 for his share of the VIP?
...just asking.
Sardis ---truthfully--would not care! I put up with him working vice with LAPD and he was drinking then--doesn't drink now. when we got 'serious' about each other I told him one thing I would not tolerate was jealousy and am not a jealous person myself--also--if he can find someone better than me-good luck!!! He has lady friends who enjoy going to the movies with him (I don't go to movies--noise causes migraines) but why stop his enjoyment? I have many male friends and travel to Europe quite a bit alone--doesn't bother him. I handle the finances--simple because he doesn't like to--if he wants to spend $800 on wine women and song--he's responsible for making up that lost income--just as I budget for my spending money.Works for us for many years.

Okay I guess I am cold hearted but I kinda giggled at the thought of the papers going oup in the air. Get on the sled folks, I'm driving this one down the hill straight into the devil's playground.
On a serious note, sorry to hear that Ecat and hope your daughter is okay.

Shouldn't you ask her if she knows how to cook first? I mean, c'mon

Of course, everything hinges on you and your husband's definition of "nice." Drunk nice? Lap dance nice? Blow job nice??

True--but it also hinges on trust, I don't think a lap dance would bother me if there were a bunch of guys fooling around and not just him on his own--and he knows a BJ plus, would get back to me and that would be it (it is not an open marriage) same with me, but I don't go snooping around or checking phone calls etc--that would show lack of trust to me. On the other hand, I have a friend in England who is divorced living alone and I stay at his house--we have been friends for many years-- that doesn't bother my husband==he has stayed there also and my friend stays here-I also have a friend I travel with (known him since we were both 12)---so it does come down to respect and trust on both parts--and as I said, it has worked for us for many years.

as long as you have the same definition and it works for you, great.

I've searched the news and I can't find anything about it. It happened in Western Hills on Saturday. I think on Price road but I'm not sure.
