Don't get crazy. Overall, it was a down year in the SEC, and you did play a bad slate of games:
Citadel, La-Monroe, and LaTech , OOC, none of which, not even Citadel, ended with a winning record. Of Auburn's 12 pre-bowl opponents that year, only 4 ended with winning records: Tennessee x2, LSU, and Georgia. The other EIGHT teams you played did NOT end with a winning record.
That, combined with the fact that Oklahoma started the season ranked #2 (with 11 1st place votes), while Auburn began the year ranked #17 (zero 1st place votes) is why the Sooners went. Not some anti-AU bias as you allude to.

I knew what you meant, and I know you're a Nole fan. But this ESPN-manufactured "scandal" has rubbed my last nerve.
AA, there's no question that Jameis' judgement off the field has been pitiful. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't understand what "She said she wants to take it slow. I’m not that type of guy I’ll letcha know. When I see that red light all I know is go." really means. As for the BB gun and Burger King sprite thing, well I can't deny doing either of those in college. In addition we destroyed quite a few EXIT signs in Salley Hall. I didn't get caught for any of that, Jameis was stupid/recognizable enough to get caught. I don't excuse his judgement and lack of maturity but my point is that the infractions themselves have been minor (and most of them happened before he was ever known by anyone outside of Tallahassee). I still feel like he's a good kid at heart, with the emphasis on kid, but I am tired of him bringing all the negative attention to FSU.
Back to the topic - UGA. Hell they're playing better without Gurley and the defense seems to have really turned the corner. It's a shame they lost to a pretty average South Carolina team.

Last comment on AU 2004 on this thread:
I put Auburn's 2004 sched in the best possible light when arguing with DSL and turned around and put their sched in the worst possible light when arguing with prof. I try not to do this often, but heh@Me. Nice work.

Losing to USCe won't matter in this season as long as the Dawgs win out and beat Ole Miss or the Bizarro Bulldogs. My dad went to Ole MIss and graduated in 64. He's 75 now, and I want the Rebs to make it so I can take him to Atlanta.

The only team left on your regular season that has a chance to beat you is Auburn. You'll pimp slap everybody else and go to Atlanta.

I hope so. Just so you know: we're kicking Auburn's ass no matter what. That is a fact. The check from your bullshit from last year is due.

You might beat Auburn, but you will have to work at it - unlike any of your other games. We aren't a panty waist team from the East. Or we might win, and listen to UGA whining for the next year. Or maybe for several years - I still hear Bulldog sniveling about Nick Fairley's harsh treatment of Andrew Murray. We love that stuff.
Regardless, either Miss St or Ole Miss or Alabama will violate you in the GA Dome. You'll wind up a 10-2 or 9-3 team going into your bowl game, as always.

We still chuckle at when you were #5 and Matt Stafford QB drawed you into irrelevance, or 2 years ago when we ended Chizik to the tune of 45-7. F* Auburn

I guess if we went as long with as few championships as UGA has, I'd be green with jealousy too.

I commend Georgia for doing what they did. They did the same with AJ a few years back. Being classy and doing the right thing trumps the scumbags at FSU for showing no class just for winning games.

Ha! That's going on my tombstone.
I wonder if there will be a Hairy the Dog billboard on 75 and 95 South thanking Florida Seniors for 4 Great Years of Georgia Football like the one with Albert we endured in the 90s...

Dan Mullen will right the Gator ship starting next year.
If Muschamp's fate hasn't already been sealed, getting destroyed in the WLOCP will do it.

FSU used to be "Free Shoes University." Now it's "Free Shellfish University."
