I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

while I"m sure the F-16 is an advanced aircraft, I'm certain its not self explanatory. Note I did not say "in the US", I said "by the US". I'm fully aware of the reptutation the Israeli Air Force has.Dora wrote:And btw, I didn't know Israeli pilots are trained in the US. Where can I learn more about this?

It is not self explanatory.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Israel & the US are involved in the joint development of military technology. Believe it or not, Israel is has a formidable defense industry in its own right, selling weapons all over the world. That is one of the main reasons I oppose any more military aid to Israel. They really don't need it.
Anyway, IDF pilots are not trained by the US military.

2010 FBI Violent Crime Rates
http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/cr ... ble-4/view
The really bad:
Flint, MI
Detroit, MI
St. Louis, MO
Memphis, TN
Oakland, CA
Baltimore, MD
Buffalo, NY
The bad:
Cleveland, OH
Hartford, CT
Washington, DC
Philadelphia, PA
St. Petersburg, FL
Nashville, TN
Kansas City, MO
Miami, FL
Rochester, NY
Orlando, FL
Atlanta, GA
Tallahassee, FL
The not-so-good/not-so-bad:
Cincinnati, OH
Tulsa, OK
Kansas City, MO
Chicago, IL
Boston, MA
Houston, TX
Dallas, TX
San Francisco, CA
Milwaukee, WI
Newark, NJ
Oklahoma City, OK
Las Vegas, NV
Minneapolis, MN
New Orleans, LA (although, I find this hard to believe, given NOLA's homicide rate)
Wichita, KS
St. Paul, MN
Pittsburgh, PA
Sacramento, CA
Fresno, CA
Phoenix, AZ
Tacoma, WA
The Good:
San Diego, CA
Austin, TX
Seattle, WA
Denver, CO
San Antonio, TX
El Paso, TX
Fort Worth, TX
Omaha, NE
Honolulu, HI
New York, NY
Portland, OR
Jacksonville, FL
Los Angeles, CA
Tampa, FL
Louisville, KY
Charlotte, NC
Raleigh, NC
San Jose, CA
Pretty much all of the "really good" cities are large suburbs/ satellite cities, such as Plano, TX, Riverside, CA, Scottsdale, AZ and so on.
Surprised that Atlanta is still so high and that Boston and Minneapolis are as high as they are. Disappointed that Houston isn't lower, especially given the four consecutive years of decreasing homicide. Although, kudos to Dallas for lowering its violent crime rate as much as it has. For over a decade it was the state's most violent big city by far. VERY SURPRISED by how low both New Orleans and Tampa are (not that Tampa is all that violent to begin with but I thought it'd be somewhere along the lines of Houston, Kansas City, Milwaukee, etc).
Flint is out of control. Period.

Is New Orleans still really bad? I thought that had passed.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
New Orleans' homicide rate is still very high (like Top Ten among cities with over 250,000 people). Apparently, they have a very low rate of assaults and rapes, according to the annual data they report.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Houston is the opposite. Its homicide rate is average to low for large cities (over 250,000 people) but we apparently like to scrap in the parking lots of clubs and whatnot. We've got a pretty high assault rate.

Boston has 50+ undergraduate colleges and universities. young college kids get fake IDs/hook up with kids 21 or older, they drink, they assault (physically or sexually) each otherHizzy III wrote:Surprised that Atlanta is still so high and that Boston and Minneapolis are as high as they are.
that probably wouldn't happen if we lowered the drinking age so that kids could learn to be more responsible with alcohol at earlier ages

Cary is virtually crime free, and Raleigh is very low comparable to cities of the same population (and even much less population). We're a peaceful folk here in NC. Compare Raleigh to, say, any city in Ohio. Bunch of violent rapists and murderers in Ohio...
