The thing that's a little disappointing to me about GOT is how unprepared the writers obviously were once they ran out of source material to adapt. I still find it very entertaining, but the characters have become dumb and inconsistent, doing things just because thats the way the plot wants to go rather than making realistic decisions that drive the plot, and the politics dont make sense anymore. It's a high fantasy/medieval soap opera for the past couple seasons, whereas it had a bit more depth and realism injected with semi-realistic feudal politics and stronger characters (always going to be somewhat of an issue if you're killing them off rapidly, especially if you dont have 500 pages to get new ones in) in seasons before that.

What you describe here does not sound "very entertaining"...

Do you find Dallas very entertaining?

Yes, but I didn't find the characters dumb and inconsistent and I felt the plot was driven by their actions rather than vice versa. Politics rarely came into play, unless JR was blackmailing somebody to further his own ends, which made perfect sense. Also, there was a comedic element to Dallas that I don't think GOT is striving for, so that makes a difference...

As in Dallas, the politics made perfect sense in Gone With The Wind. All the critics agree...

GOT should stick to the basics --no character no matter how despictable or how much a fan favorite should not be brought back to life

cersei in book one--its a game of thrones you either attain the iron throne or die trying to

So the GOT question is: who will Daenarys end up with
Since incest doesn't seem to be an issue, everything is pointing to her nephew Jon Snow
Yes. I've been saying that for 2 years.

My beef with GOT is that every season just about has the big battle scene that ends with someone coming in at the last possible moment to save the day. It's happened at least 3 times and probably more. Jon Snow was saved twice at the last minute, once by Stannis and once by Littlefinger, out of the blue. Too bad nobody was there to save poor Headless Ned at the last moment.

BTW, whatever happened to that blind creepy executioner? He was one of the best parts of the show.

Ned never knew he was in trouble. Little shit changed his mind at the last minute to execute him.

Daenarys is going to fall at the Iron Islands or at least be humbled to the point of needing Jon's help to reclaim herself.

The cat that was introduced this year and is now the head of the iron islands is rumored to have a special horn or something that can control the dragons.

Jon Snow takes the iron throne in the end. He is ice and fire.

I've had the same thought
that Jon and Dany would end up together. I just thought that Jon was the child of Robert and Lyanna, not Rhaegar and Lyanna. So, I thought it was going to be a Baratheon / Targaryon union with Dany and Jon.
The Battle of the Bastards was excellent television but
nobody saw 3,000 Knights of the Vale heading north? Ramsay was totally surprised by their appearance? GTFOH
I tried to watch that once and it wouldn't load and I forgot all about it.

I didn't think Harlem Nights was as bad as everyone said either. Eddie just wanted to honor black comedians so it was probably too specific to that but it still made me laugh.

Yeah, Harlem Nights isn't in my top movies...but it was well shot and had its funny moments. It wasn't a terrible pic...but Pryor was so low energy (I guess his MS was present, but he wasn't disclosing it) that it took some of the fun out of the thing.

my favorite line of the movie was Redd Foxx saying "I ain't gonna be to many more motherfuckers now ya hear"

well maybe "awww...you wanna hit people with garbage cans"
