You dumb fuck, I didn’t say the damn things are enforceable. I just said I wished the original developers had worried about putting language in the covenants regarding house size and appearance instead of focusing on race.

You are an incredibly stupid son of a bitch.

Yeah that is what I thought.

You are not angry that the original restrictions were to keep black people out of the neighborhood. You are just angry because the original restrictions do restrict the things YOU want restricted. You like some restrictions. You just don't like the ones that were made almost 80 years ago.

Basically, you are just an elitist asshole DS.

unexpected glitch in my home generator deal

first, the reason you don't see many natural gas generators is all the regulation necessary to support the building of one, and as a result that why you don't see conversion kits, there is too much risk involved.

so with that I just called the local propane king and asked what is the biggest consumer tank I can get. We have some law here that you can't get a large propane tank on your property if you have natural gas, but thats kind of irrelevant giving the pricing structure. A 120 gallon tank to purchase is $1500. To rent its $300 a year, regardless of whether I use the propane or not.

I told him that seemed pretty costly given I could get 5 tanks of propane from home depot for considerably less than that in a swap out situation (given I have 5 tanks) and he was like "I have to make money somehow and I'm not going to make money on a guy with a generator"

I guess if I told him I was a consumer that like to grill entire pigs every month, he'd give me a better price.

I'm not done yet, Tractor supply rents/sells tanks for $189. I assume that is the exchange price, not sure what buying the tank will be.

all told, I am currently at $849 for the transfer switch and labor, $860 for a 4500w duel fuel inverter generator, and whatever it costs to get a weeks supply of propane (and propane accessories), I don't get to run my whole house for that kind of money, I get to pick out 6 circuits and of course they can't exceed about 3500w total. I think I am close but with no a/c or water heater (mine is gas) I should be able to manage pretty well.

Now I will probably never use the damn thing
