Bellagio has an exceptional sportsbook. If you don't want to lose much AND you want action while you are there, bet $11 to win $10. Just head to the book, see a college basketball game that you care about that is playing, make sure they are showing it on one of their screens, and bet enough money to keep your interest that you sit there and watch it as opposed to sitting in front of a one-armed-bandit or at the craps table. Its a coin flip basically. You can't double your money but you risk $55 or $110 or whatever it is to win $50 or $100. And that is good because no matter what happens (win or lose) you get 2+ hours of action AND you aren't going to lose a whole lot of money.

Best sports bet night in Vegas was at Planet Hollywood. It was the Thursday night game where Aaron Rodgers threw that Hail Mary for a touchdown to win the game against, I think, the Lions. I bet on the over on that game because I thought it was low. What makes Planet Hollywood different than most of the other casinos is that they had TVs all through the casino and you could watch the game while you played the tables. That Hail Mary play not only made GB cover the spread, it also changed the total score to the over side. I never seen a casino erupt all at once like that. I also made $400. I've made more at the craps and blackjack tables in the past, but never had more fun than that night.

I bet the over on some first round NCAA tourny game sometime in the mid-90's. Took triple OT to cover, but it did. Barely...

Last night was fun. We usually go off the strip and head to Ellis Island, a small-sized casino that is a little rough, but still a safe place. We've been going to this little gem for about 8 years now, but we could tell from the crowd last night the secret is out. Never had to wait on a table before as last night. As long as you keep tipping the dealers they'll make sure you have a good time. There's this 90+ year old dealer at the craps who recognized us from before and still sharp manning the chaos that is a craps table. $10 minimum black jack. The younger guys like it because you can order pizza, burgers, and barbecue there. We usually reserve only one night each year at this place because the conference is usually at the Aria or Bellagio, but we are heading back again tonight because the Bellagio is just too crowded and minimums are high. Hard to get a $25 minimum table even.

I judge a place by the quality of prostitutes that try to pick up on me at 5am when I'm going to the fitness center wearing sweatpants , a ratty T and earbuds.

thumbs up Ceasers and the Venetian, penicillin shots for the Rio. Don't have the budget to stay at the Bellagio to find out.

I'm not a big gambler but my favorite place to gamble is New York, New York only because I've won more there. I do like the seedy , touristy aspect of Fremont St.

We won’t get snow tomorrow, just cold rain.

Snow will start north of Raleigh. DC could get 6-8” from what I have seen.

Disclaimer: not a Vegas resident. I live in Phoenix and I get to Vegas more often than maybe most of you (two or three times a year.) But I am not a resident. But in Phoenix (where whores are all but knifing each other in competition for the Johns and the $$$) they are getting pretty desperate.

The constant propositions, I think that is more a function of the marketplace. Or should I say LACK of a market. Johns are disappearing. And why? I think there is two things going on here.

Free, high definition, on-line, porn, where the porn star can affix a camera to his forehead and give you the visual of him inserting his penis inside her, yeah, most likely all the would-be-Johns are jerking off to free porn instead. Johns are mostly gone. So the whores, they must be a bit more brazen in selling their ass, selling a fantasy that the John is now getting for free with his own hand and laptop computer.

That is half. The other half is the Nordic model seems to be taking effect in the United States. And what is that? Its just feminism (in that women are never accountable.)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_mo ... ostitution
The Nordic model approach to prostitution,[1] also known as the end demand,[2] equality model,[3] neo-abolitionism,[4] partial decriminalization,[5] and Swedish model,[6] is an approach to prostitution law.[7] Although it is often called the Nordic model, it has only been adopted in three of the Nordic countries, and has no connection to the Nordic model, which is a socioeconomic model.[1] Under the Nordic model, sex buyers are criminalized while prostitutes are decriminalized; typically, prostitutes can sell their own services but auxiliary procuration services, such as pimping, brothel-keeping, and third-party advertising remain illegal. The main objective of the model is to decrease the demand for prostitution by punishing the purchase of sexual services in order to decrease the volume of the illegal sex industry overall.[8][9]
Basically, if they proposition you (and not you, them) then the cops lay off both parties. Nordic model encourages her to approach you, if you won't go to her. It's not the law here (from law enforcement standpoint, we do not welcome the Nordic model in the USA, not officially) but Phoenix cops aren't likely to bust the whores anymore and maybe that has encouraged them to be more brazen. At least in Phoenix. I assume Vegas PD, the same. And even with the Nordic model, the Johns are still "criminals" when they put money in her hand and can be arrested. Just never the whores.
