He downed a cruise ship shrimp omelet and lived to tell about it. A Big Mac, no matter how big, doesn't stand a chance in his hilljack innards.

For no particular reason I always wanted to eat at the Carnegie Deli.

I hate hearing it closed its doors

From reading up on why it closed it was a calamity of events but the downhill slide began when they bowed to consumer demands to serve lean meats

I've had a few pastrami on rye's from Carnegie's, hate to hear that. When are they closing? Been talking with a buddy about going to the city sometime soon, hopefully before they close, will have to make a farewell pilgrimage. But Katz's is always an option...

already happened. They auctioned off the stuff last week

I read a little more and the owners husband was screwing a waitress and helped her open a Carnegie deli knockoff in Thailand

They also had an illegal gas line hookup that shut them down for awhile and then were hit with not paying wages due to employees.

I'd like to think someone else can go in there and open it back up with the same name, same style and just manage it.

Katz' > Carnegie

Yeah, Carnegie is near my office. Katz is definitely a better look downtown. Carnegie was really only good for the cheesecake, personally. I heard someone offered them $10M to buy it last month and they turned him down...which is a weird story, now that I think about it, so I don't know if it's true.

its a nice community - you won't have any issues there, on the backside of town. School District is Boyd E. Smith which is a brand new school just opened in August and a straight shot into the business district on Cook Road or the back way into Loveland going the other way.

Families will want to live there. Plus no city tax there.

I was in the first grade when this happened...Video of worst bus crash in US history.... happened in my neighboring county of Floyd County in 1958.

And of all things, this happened day before yesterday just down the road from me... The guy was a good friend of mine who lived just about a half mile from where I used to live... His daughter was one of my 7th grade students back in the mid '80s... Still no word on finding the body.
