When you ban voting, then the only people who vote are criminals.

Oh boy. IB is off his meds again. This could be a long night. Anyhoo, Im honestly interested in the felons can't vote thing. Is that true? Because I've been voting as a felon since 06. My probation officer told me to register to vote.

It's statutory. Some states prohibit violent felons. Some prohibit all felons. Some don't have restrictions. I'm not sure about Ohio.

I'll do some quick research later tonight when I get home, but understand that it doesn't matter the website. What matters is the veracity of the research. Don't get in this logical fallacy shit that many do when they are faced with facts.

In NC, you can't vote if you are currently serve a felony sentence, are on parole for a felony or are on a probationary sentence for a felony. You can never own or possess a firearm if you are convicted of a felony in NC.

I represent several people who are "illegal aliens." Guess what? They have ID's. You can get a very good fake driver's license (hologram and bar code) for a reasonable amount. It's not hard. On top of that, several Hispanics have these ID's that appear official but aren't worth a hill of beans (no pun intended). Some crowd is making a mint selling those to the illegals who think that will save them.

Obama has come out swinging again. Romney does come back fairly well, but Obama needs to harp on the fact that Romney has switched positions multiple times. Romney just hit Obama with the "I will have more flexibility after the election" comment about Russia.

Kinda funny hearing Romney talk about making pariahs of diplomats of terrorists states, "in the same way we made pariahs of diplomats of apartheid states". Yeah, I'm sure Romney was a staunch opponent of apartheid. That was back when the mormons wouldn't even allow blacks to be ordained as mormon ministers. LMAO...

Also got a laugh when Obama countered Romney's claim that the navy is smaller now than it was in 1917. Obama replied, "Well yes, and we also have less horses and bayonettes than we did in 1917. We have things now called aircraft carriers. Defense policy isn't a game of battleship where whoever has the most ships wins". Or something like that. About the only zinger of the whole night, this "debate" has been the most boring of the three, basically stump speeches by each guy...

Kinda surprised that Romney hasn't touched Benghazi at all. Must've gotten some intel that Obama's indignation on this point in the last debate touched a nerve...

Anybody who is convinced that presidential debates are nothing but glorified yet boring stump speeches must be feeling more than a little vindicated after that one. Jeez, that was boring...

Romney's goal was to be as close to the President as possible. Therefore, the decision in the election will only be on the economy

When Romney delivered his totally practiced and canned line "Attacking me isn't a policy", Obama should've said "Attacking you? Look, jackass, this is a presidential debate, not a tea party, of course I'm going to attack you. Do you want me to get you a crying towel?" Or something like that...

The debate was boring because foreign policy has now become an issue where Americans are less divided. After ten years of our war on terror I think everyone realizes what we can and can not do as it relates to the Middle East. Romney was smart to pull back the reigns on the fighting because there really isn't much he would do differently than Obama. He even gave Obama credit on some things. Definitely not a polarizing subject like abortion, gay marriage, and taxes.

I know I'm in the minority, but I didn't think Obama did all that badly in the first debate (FWIW, I didn't think Clint Eastwood's performance at the RNC was bad, either, and in fact thought he was one of the better speakers at the whole event, so what do I know). I think Obama was demonstrably better in the second and third debates, but I think the real reason Romney has gotten some traction is not b/c Obama was terrible (even if that is the general perception) but that people were expecting Romney was going to come across as some kind of buffoon in the debates and he clearly is not. He's obviously smart, calm, well-spoken and, according to the MIF, reasonably good looking ("especially for his age", she said). Unfortunately or not, that last part counts for alot. He certainly is better looking than McCain...

virginia might have swung to romney with the bayonettes comment. they don't take to kindly to decreased shipbuilding in southern virginia. still boils down to ohio with iowa and wisconcin as backup. colorado is a tossup to but I don't think it matters--if ohio goes obama then romney has a near impossible path

and Paul Ryan doesn't hurt with the women vote.
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

One of my female friends (admittedly a staunch dem) told me Ryan reminds her of Eddie Munster. She thinks he's heinous. But I can see where some women might find him attractive...

Wow, clearly a concerted effort by certain "powerful political influences" to suppress the vote of those who are most vulnerable, our elderly....shameful...just shameful.

Would've been funny if Obama had countered with "Their only route to the sea? They have borders on the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea." But he didn't have access to google maps like I do now...
