Shit just got real.
Let's hope the boys play as well with the pressure on their shoulders as they did with a chip.

Yep, 4 games and a probable rematch with Miami to get through. I hope some of the older guys can keep the sugarplum dreams from the younger ones heads for the next 5 weeks.

I understand that Ron Cherry and his crew will be the refs for today's game. Wonder if we will have any DB's flagged for 'targeting'.

Apparently not - defense and DBs in particular were outstanding today. Price had 3 yards passing and 3 interceptions.

Yeah, it was a defensive show today - other than opening drives we didn't have to go far to get points. I watched a portion of the 'Cuse/Md game and it looks like Syracuse will stand toe to toe and aren't afraid to mix it up. Could be interesting next week.

lol...Cuse stinks. The only real threat to you guys remaining is maybe, MAYBE, the ACC title game. I'm presuming it's VT who will be there.

The ACC Coastal is a wreck right now. Four teams have two losses and a lot of interconnected losses amongst them. You might assume GT will lose to Clemson for their third conference loss but they've been very successful against them the last few years. Duke is a pretty decent team though they obviously don't get any respect but if you look at their schedule they've done well against other decent teams.

just learned that Jacob Coker has a torn meniscus and will have surgery soon...probably this week...and will probably will not play any more this season...this means Jameis' backup will be Sean Maguire, a RS freshman from Seton Hall Prep in NJ

I'm actually kinda glad about that. Not for Coker getting injured, but we've seen a couple games' worth of mop-up duty for him and he probably won't be here next year. Maguire very well could take over for Winston after next year and has been very impressive from what I understand so I look forward to seeing him play.

he doesn't appear to have the abilty to move like Coker - more like Busby or Weinke which will make for a different offense when he goes in

I'll take another Busby or Weinke if the rest of the offense and defense continues to roll.

TMZ reporting that Jameis Winston is being accused of sexual assault from an incident back in December.

The Tallahassee Police Department last year received a complaint of sexual battery against Florida State University star quarterback Jameis Winston.
No charges have been filed against Winston, and the investigation remains active. An attorney representing Winston denied the allegation.
The complaint was filed Dec. 7, 2012, according to TPD reports. The complainant is cooperating with the State Attorney’s Office, said Officer David Northway, spokesman for TPD.
“The case is open and active and the victim is working with the State Attorney’s Office,” Northway said.
Tallahassee attorney Tim Jansen confirmed he is representing Winston.
“This case has been going on for over a year. The case was basically closed and we’re not sure why it’s opened up," Jansen said. "We’ve been cooperating with the law enforcement agencies and we’re hoping to get a quick resolution in favor of Mr. Winston.
Jansen said Winston has not been interviewed by police or prosecutors.
TPD released an incident report on Wednesday in response to a request from the Tallahassee Democrat for any and all reports related to Winston.
The report, which was heavily redacted, does not mention Winston by name. It says the complaint was received at 4:10 a.m. and that the sexual battery occurred earlier in the morning of Dec. 7, 2012, between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. The exact location was not listed, though the report says it happened at an apartment.
The incident report says the suspect is unknown. The narrative description from the investigating officer is redacted. The incident report describes the suspect as between 5 foot 9 and 5 foot 11 tall and 240 pounds. FSU athletics media guide lists Winston as 6 foot 4 and 218 pounds.
The incident report indicated that evidence was collected from the complainant’s body. Photos also were taken of the complainant.
The victim told police she had been drinking alcohol the night of the incident.
Georgia Cappleman, chief assistant state attorney, said she can’t discuss the case because it’s an open investigation.
In a news release sent this evening, Northway said TPD had received several requests from local and national media about the complaint of a sexual battery.
“The case was assigned to the Special Victims Unit,” Northway said. “TPD is continuing its investigation and has consulted with the State Attorney as to the direction of the case.”
The Democrat on Wednesday morning requested police reports involving Winston. Throughout the day, TPD officials said they were redacting documents in response to the request. At 4:59 p.m., Northway sent an email to a Democrat reporter containing the incident report. Minutes later the police department released the incident report, without reference to Winston, to other media.
Winston, a redshirt freshman who has led Florida State to a 9-0 record and No. 2 national ranking, is considered a front-runner for the Heisman Trophy.
In his first season of college football, the Alabama native has completed 69.2 percent of his passes (166 of 240) for 2,661 yards, with 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He is passing for 295.7 yards per game.
Winston ranks No. 2 nationally in passing efficiency, fifth in passing touchdowns, ninth in completion percentage and 12th nationally in passing yards per game.
He has been profiled by virtually every national media outlet, including a more than 3,500-word piece this week in ESPN The Magazine.
The incident report describes the suspect as between 5 foot 9 and 5 foot 11 tall and 240 pounds. FSU athletics media guide lists Winston as 6 foot 4 and 218 pounds.

Definitely have to await further information on this...
The police report says the suspect was dark-skinned (not black/African-American), between 5-9" and 5'11" (Winston is 6-4" - most people can differentiate above 6' or below 6'), and 240# (which at 5'11" is either very muscular or obese, Winston was ~215# at the time), and had short straight hair (Winston has a 'fro).
Is it possible she was at a party, met a guy who called himself "Jameis Winston, the next great QB at FSU", and went to a back room with him and he went too far? I really can't imagine any other scenario where his name could be tied into this with the information that is currently public, unless he's being sought more as a potential witness than suspect.

More likely she was a drunken chick who had difficulty remembering or describing what he was like. I doubt there is any doubt a year later that it was Winston, probably lots of doubt about whether it was really SA.

Why would you say there is no doubt it was Winston?
The original police report was filed immediately after the alleged incident. The police investigated, and basically shelved the case in February. Unlike Gainesville, the DA and TPD do not have a history of protecting FSU athletes AT ALL, so I don't see any reason to believe that the investigation revealed any involvement by Winston. The only reason it was turned over to the SAO was the recent inquiries by the Tampa newspaper or TMZ - the TPD wanted to cover their ass by getting the SAO to validate the lack of evidence against Winston.
