Yeah, I saw the girl on Today yesterday (or the day before). She was 16 then, now she's 23 and she posted the video out there herself...because he kept being abusive to her even after she became an adult.
The TX authorities are not going to prosecute. I'm not sure if that is due to their belief no law was broken, or whether it is a statute of limitations issue. His bench position is not appointed, it is elected. So, he is up for reelection in 3 years. We'll see if the concern about this tape lasts that long.

If you are thinking of getting a McRib sanwich....................That's not to say that the McRib is some kind of pristine product of nature, of course. Before the HSUS complaint surfaced, several media outlets had conducted investigations into the myriad of bizarre ingredients that go into the boneless "rib" patty at the center of the sandwich.
The pork bits that make up the meat include "tripe, heart and scalded stomach," which is bad enough. But the chemical additives that go into the sandwich are even worse. Allegedly, when the additives aren't binding lung and liver bits together, they're used for keeping yoga mats springy and shoe soles white.

About the beating, when I first saw it I thought it was a put on. After it hit the papers now I know it's real. Isn't it ironic that he was beating her over a computer incident and it just might be the computer that may do him in? The wife isn't any better IMO. "Take it like a grown woman." What?!?! Take what like a grown woman? A beating?!?! Really?!?!

I wonder if the wife takes it like a grown woman! I worked as a child abuse prevention counselor for a long time, as we had a State grant we had to work under the "umbrella" of a women's shelter. I could not work with those women--it amazed me that they would go back to such abuse WHEN THEY HAD THE CHANCE TO LEAVE IT WITH HELP!!! I can understand if they had no help and were in fear--but 'he may beat the shit out of me and my kids but I love him so I am leaving this safe place and going back' didn't work for me.
