Knight heading to the pros.... Jones to decide tomorrow. Still say Liggins is the key to a title run next season.

"I'll miss Gary, even if he did kick our asses a lot more often than he should have. He's a helluva coach."
I agree. Maryland always seemed to find a way to beat us (and Dook). Of course it wasn't always, but it seemed like it. They certainly won their share (more than their share for my tastes). But yet and still, I always respected and even liked Gary. IMO, Maryland is the third best job in the ACC and Gary certainly had alot to do with putting them in that position. There's already a thread on IC with a rumor about Sean Miller to Maryland. Don't know if that has any merit, but I bet they get a very solid name to replace Gary, whoever it is...

Jones to return for sophomore season. Liggins is the key though.

Yes, Liggins is the key. But, having Jones back is certainly not something to shrug at. Another match-up nightmare at the 4-spot, critical depth on the front line, somebody in the post besides Vargas who has NCAA tourney experience. And it's another spoonful of shit that Hedge has to swallow.
WOW, is the UNC game at Rupp gonna be hyped in November. Nine? Ten? of the top 20 prospects in the '12 NBA Draft on the floor at one time.

If you’re OKC, you can’t belive that you can go much further with Scottie Brooks as your HC. This fourth quarter for the Thunder has been an abomination with the Thunder doing nothing but running isos for Durant and Westbrook, despite traps and double-teams. No adjustments at all.

If the Celts beat the Heat in this series, Rondo will be a legend after tonight

I ordinarily don't like homer jobs even when they benefit UK, but in this instance I'm willing to hold my nose after last year. I hope we get the most outrageous officiating ever in the history of Duke basketball. I hope we get that crew from the US/Russia game in '72. I want a solid stream of whistleage blaring in UNC's ears all night long as we parade to the freethrow line one undeserved call after the other. Each more outrageous and galling than the last.
I will NEVER forget that homer job UNC did on us last year. I swear I would have cancelled the fucking series at halftime. You don't treat the greatest basketball program in history like a mid-major and whistle out 4 fucking starters like that and expect a return trip to your homer fucking arena. Homer UNC off the fucking floor next year then cancel the series with a hearty "fuck you, cheaters" and play Maryland or maybe Kansas instead, although I'm very leery of playing at Kansas as well.

Westbrook and Durant seem to be heading towards a Cheese/Prop Joe moment...

TBH, when I first read about Williams leaving Maryland, I almost posted 'Tubby to Maryland'. Would be the perfect job for him. He knows how to beat unc and dook.
