Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine
Names in deal still emerging but sources say ORL definitely getting Afflalo, Harrington, Vucevic & one future 1ST from all three other teams

Sources tell ESPN trade also calls for Sixers to get Jason Richardson with Bynum, with Iguodala to Denver & Dwight, obviously, to Lakerland

It's about 3 weeks ahead of schedule...but now I can officially say this is now back to lovely.

Let's get these Larry O'Brien trophies...not one, not two, not three...

Looks as though it's really happening, pending league approval.

What'd Lebron predict, eight championships? Let's not get into a championships-predicting contest.

well at least the conference finals and the finals should be interesting from a competitive standpoint now. except I can't stand any of the combatants except OKC. always college ball to watch to March and then switch right into baseball season.... the Jays still have a chance into June.

LOL, resigning yourself already.

Yes, we are arrogant. Yes, we are entitled. Yes, there is precedence.

Oh, I'm optimistic. It's a clear upgrade at a position that was already strong and they keep Pau around. They might have let Jim Buss's bartender go so they can re-sign Dwight tho...have to give Jim credit for shilling the Bynum selection (how often do the Lakers draft low? Like, never.) and Mitch once again. What do these other GMs in the league do all day?

Also real interested to see the new backcourt in action.

The Magic have a long history of bad deals. McGrady and Shaq come to mind.

Yep. I'm excited for Philly. I hope Drew stays healthy.

Philly will climb into the East's top 4

Denver steals Iggy

LA, obviously

what 1st rounder from those 3 will be below the 22nd pick?

Horrible, Houston has a 1st from Toronto and probably would have given up 2 out of their 3 rookies (jeremy lamb, royce white, terrence jones)

Orlando should have waited

I'm guessing that Houston must've either pulled out or didn't offer what everyone expected.

I also believe that had Morey not tried to cut out the Lakers, Bynum would've become a Rocket today.

Hard not to resign yourself when only a few teams have legitimate talent. At least this trade wasn't as much as a rape as Gasol was. 3 of 4 teams actually moved proven players.

I am with dot on the trade. The Magic stated the obvious with "we definitely took a step back" but then confused everything with "back with a vision". Does the vision mean "let's hope we are so piss poor again that we land a stud like Shaq or Howard in the draft?". Otherwise, I have no idea what that vision is

Considering they had the biggest asset to trade, I am not sure how the other 3 participants in the trade got the best assets. In any case, good deal for 3 of those 4 teams and the Magic have firmly put themselves behind the Raps now which makes our Lowry trade a little less scary.

As for Philly, still not sold that they are gonna be really good in the East. They lose Iggy, williams, and Brand from a team that played very well together. That's going to take sometime and not sure how that group will work with Bynum. and Collins and Bynum just has disaster written all over it.

As a UNC grad, I'm just happy that Antawn Jamison will finally have a chance at a title. I guess he had a chance with Cleveland during LeBron's last year, but he sure didn't do much to make it happen, IIRC. He should, however, do pretty well in a system where he's the 4th or 5th option...

We'll see. He's a good scorer, but usually that comes with relatively high usage. He's not going to get that many touches with this team.

Personally, I like the thought of Jodie Meeks playing with Dwight and Steve Nash. He should be a strong contributor.

Between Nash, Kobe and Jamison, that's some old legs. They might be a western conference version of the Celtics...

and that's the hope. That they can gel and win a chip in one year (maybe two) before the wheels fall off.

Hopefully knock two off, Kobe rides off into the sunset (taking Pau with him) and LeBron slides right on into our Purple and Gold capspace.
