Sepp Blatter is an idiot and a dick. However, he is a victim of his age and culture. Still, it doesn't remove his dickishness.

What did he say during his interview on Fox today?

His interview on Fox was Friday, I believe. But, anyway, it was more of the same...with some points thrown in about his time in Africa in the 70s that shaped his view on racism and his work to address racism in the sport.

Either way, he stood by his handshake nonsense.

I had no idea Sidney Crosby was only 24. As long as he's been around I figured him to be 30 or so.

When you see the Southern Cross
For the first time
You understand now
Why you came this way
'Cause the truth you might be runnin' from
Is so small.
But it's as big as the promise
The promise of a comin' day.

not to sound insensitive to the issue but soccer is pretty well known for its fans being extremely racist - or at least culturally insensitive?

So I have no idea what was said on the field but wasn't Sepp's stance just to basically ignore it , play the game and move on?

Yes...which is a fine answer if you're playing. It's not a great one if you run the organization.

The real Pansies are the ones who play pseudo rugby but all padded up and helmeted and call their 'game' American Football--also needing two teams per side --not intelligent enough to play offence and defence with one team!

Yeah, but we did perfect the natural way Ss and Zs should be placed in words.

Also, I've always said "American" football is infinitely more dangerous than rugby, bc of the running starts at contact.

I've played rugby and I've played football. Cardio has to be better with rugby but there is no comparison on the hits: Football has many more bone-jarring hits. It's not even close.

A serious question--why is it called 'Football" when the only time the ball touches a foot is when it is kicked over the thingy (goalpost?) to score that extra point--was there originally more foot use in the game?
