Hmmm....
I would say that 95% of why this nonsense storybook that the media is needlessly hyping is causing Te'o so much consternation, is Te'o's religion. It is his faith (and how that faith shapes his relationship with the ladies) that is giving him so many internal conflicts, causing the young man to LIE so much to so many people.

If you have to follow such a strict set of rules around dating and relationships in order to remain in good Temple standing, you wouldn't believe the crap that would come out of your mouth.

IB is certainly not the first nor, I suspect, will he be the last to use religion as an excuse for lying to hide one's poor behavior, and indeed as an excuse for the poor behavior itself. Sounds like a real winner...

If I do somehow find myself face to face with God after I die, the first thing I'm going to say to him is: I forgive you...

It's a big story now because he has made fools of the media again. They are all Notre Dame fans. It's their cover. They all know the Gipp, Rudy and all the other ND immortals,
But it's all a show to show the other bed wetters that they aren't ,tbqueer butvare mrn's men. How else could they have fallen for this bullshit? No more fact checking, they repohrt on what each other thinks.

Yeah, it comes down to GRACE. If you accept that you are saved purely by God's Grace (because that is what Christ has taught) then you don't have all these problems. Te'o? That is NOT what he was taught. He has to EARN IT!

I can't even begin to list all the trials and pitfalls good Mormon men must go through to be "in good standing" in their church. It's ridiculous. Books and books and books of rules, rules on top of rules, rules that contradict with one another but that's okay, they have a Prophet to help straighten all that out.... It is enough to drive someone like Te'o insane.

And don't get me started on what happens to the LDS when someone in their immediate flock gets a Testimonial to leave that faith. You'd think the world just came to end.

Don't get you started? I'd pay good money to get you stopped. Permanently...

I will forgive God, but I draw the line at IB. Sorry, dude, you're fucked...

the whole thing probably goes away if they lose to Michigan the next week and never sees the light of day if you tack on an extra loss to USC. Whoever concocted this was thinking along the lines of getting one over during a 9-2 campaign.

Supposedly, among some Maryland vs ACC lawyerin' exit fee mumbo jumbo, rumors are swirling that Miami has decided to initiate a move to the Big 12, possibly leading to NC State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, Miami, plus one other school joining the Big 12 while Duke and North Carolina join the SEC. Presumably there would then be a free for all to join either the Big 12 or Big Ten for 3 remaining spots.
