Maybe it'll cut down on abortions and unwanted pregnancies?

Obama is trying to force Catholic hospitals to provide birth control. He's graciously giving them one year to get with the program:

I wonder if he will also order Jewish hospitals to serve pork or atheist hospitals (if there was such a thing) to provide Bibles to their patients.

I thought it was not that the hospitals have to provide birth control, but that their employees had to have coverage for birth control in their insurance plans? Some of the Catholic Hospitals are already doing that if that is the case, (they just can't fill their prescriptions at the hospital pharmacy)

Newt just debated himself into winning SC. And the "inevitable" Romney is now 1 for 3 in the first elections.

I agree. It's big and expensive media market state, so having a lot of money to dump on tv ads will be at a premium. Romney has enough money to blast the airwaves all the way from Perdido to Key West.

To me a big question is how Newt's victory in SC will translate into campaign cash. The Republican Establishment has backed one of their own in Romney, and their hostility to Newt is well known. But will South Carolina make them hedge their bets and slide Newt some money too? Or will they double down and give Romney even more money in one last attempt to take out Newt?

Newt will get enough to run a lot of ads in Florida I suspect. I saw one news outlet that expects him to get 10 million within the next week. We'll see. He doesn't have the infrastructure though.

If Newt gets enough money to match up against Romney on the airwaves, that will mean a lot more than the retail politics of the past contests. Florida isn't like Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina, where you can hang around busy truck stops and crowded diners, and wind up shaking hands with half the state's population.

So would not having sex.

I don't have an issue with birth control.

I do with govt telling biz that their insurance plans must cover it for free.

Yep, not having sex would solve the abortion/unwanted pregnacy thingy. They shoulda thought of that before.

There is no such thing as "for free". The co pays and premiums go up or the coverage goes down.

I-75

and he must mean upstate New Yorkers, it makes no sense for anyone in the city to go that route

I drive across Tennessee at least four times a year with my Illinois plates. I have rarely had a problem with their state patrol. And the few times I did, I just gave them some of my corn squeezin's and they let me go with a smile, thank you and handshake.

BTW:

http://www.redstate.com/erick/2012/01/2 ... -disaster/

In South Carolina exit polls, Romney wins only the “moderate or liberal”, those with incomes in excess of $200,000.00, those with postgraduate education, those who oppose the tea party movement, and those who think religion does not matter at all.

Mitt Romney’s exit polling reflects he can get the votes of Washington, D.C. Republicans and those who think we should leave the fate of the country in their hands. But he cannot get the votes of those who think we need to reform and reduce the power of Washington, which I venture to say is a sizable portion of the base.

The other day, Dan McLaughlin explained who the GOP establishment is. That characterizes Mitt Romney’s base even in the exit polls. Unfortunately for him, the base of the party is at war with that precise group.
