You don't really think Wiley is paying his legal fees do you?

Sounds like a great opportunity for some pro bono work...

knock yourself out. I don't know that anything will come from it (like anything U*NC is involved in) but on the surface she was acting as an unlicensed agent/runner by accepting money from an agent and giving it to an athlete. This is a class 1 felony. In addition the money was wired to her from out of State so in theory the FBI could get involved. Any of this make sense or is it all bullshit?

The Feds wouldn't touch it. They are capricious as hell and will surprise you at times, but I doubt they give a shit about the wire aspect. It was my understanding that the packages were addressed to Little and the others but sent to her address. I haven't read the documents though. I am going by hearsay, and there is no "class 1" felony in NC. There is a class I felony, which is the lowest possible felony. It rarely results in jail time unless you violate probation or are someone with an extensive record.

Also, you would have to show intent and knowledge on her part. She could have had no idea what those shits Greg Little and Marvin Austin were doing with the mail shit.

The documents supposedly make mention of money being sent to other players in NC at other schools, but no schools or players were listed.

Would receiving the package on Monday and paying off $3800 in parking tickets on Tuesday cover that?

Not necessarily enough to do it in and of itself, but damn close. Is that what happened?

You may have seen info other than this paragraph
The investigator with the Secretary of State’s office also stated that Patrick Jones said “packages containing cash had been sent to many other student athletes at schools other than UNC-CH. He could not recall how many packages he had sent to North Carolina student athletes, but he did know that others had received cash.”

Definitely money was sent to other athletes. Whether that statement is about athletes at other North Carolina schools or other athletes at North Carolina (meaning U*NC) remains to be seen. If they were paying any athletes at State they got took.

I don't know about the timing. I'm just getting your opinion here. We do know that Wiley paid the tickets. She was also employed by Butch Davis during the time period she was receiving the cash.

62% of U*NC BOG members attended U*NC-Chapel Hill. The General Assembly is so intent on cleaning up U*NC's mess that 5 of 8 new BOG member have degrees from you guessed it U*NC. They even have an Old Well logo on the announcement page.

So it's 56 student-athletes, not the thousands you claimed?

That's a small sample in a few classes over a three year time period. Notice that was going on while U*NC was under investigation. I'm not sure what SACS investigative parameters are. They seemed to be dismissing the "irregular" classes and concentrating on the "aberrant" ones. 84% of the "students in those classes were athletes. 84%. 30 football players and 8 basketball. Remember there have been no basketball majoring in AFAM since 2007. In theory every athlete that participated in those classes was ineligible. The NCAA has already taken away your wins in football because players were ineligible from taking benefits. Your basketball players are just as ineligible due to academic fraud.
