I would like to say this. Tardiness is not something you can do on your own. Many, many people contributed to my tardiness. I would like to thank my parents for never giving me a ride to school, the LA city bus driver who took a chance on an unknown kid and last but not least, the wonderful crew from McDonalds who spend hours making those egg McMuffins without which I might never be tardy.

As these mug shots attest

if you get arrested in Orlando, you are going to get the shit beat out of you

That was pretty good. I didn't know which one to pick...there were so many. However, I think my fave may be Anthony Jackson

Image

simply because everyone had some crime listed, domestic violence, assault, petit larceny, "herion" possession and others. Anthony just said "Anthony Jackson, 23, of Orlando." It was like they didn't even have time or room to list out whatever he did wrong to get there.

maybe it was just a pre-emptive arrest

I know that motherfucker is gonna do something, arrest his ass and see if we can figure out a way to beat him up.

man, those are pretty strong. I think looking at mug shots is my new favorite hobby. the ones we run in our paper are good from time to time but these are the best I've seen. what about the bald black dude with powder all over his face? was he playing Baron Samedi in a local production of Live and Let Die?

yea, he jumped out at me but what the fuck is going on with this dude?

Image

As soon as I see him outside, I'm immediately going to the other side of the street.
Then there is that one woman, they knocked her ass out and took her picture anyways. Had a hand holding her head up

lots of strange tattoos in those photos. I'm guessing that's a sharpie-on-meth design

"I think looking at mug shots is my new favorite hobby."

Stu's dad used to sit up and listen greedily to the police ban radio, delighting in the troubles of others. I see that the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree...

at one point, people with the newer 900mhz scanners (this was around 1994) could not only pick up police bans but also cell phone calls.

That was how I learned that people other than porn stars performed analingus (did I spell that right?)

I can remember my aunt and uncle always going to sleep with the police scanner and them bringing it with them when they visited us.

We had a scanner with fire, rescue, police and sheriff's channels programmed in it when I was a kid. My grandmother had one too.
