I just saw Bibi on TV. Did you know that the Arabs hate Israel because Israel is just like the United States? Seriously!

Israel holds the USA in contempt. We are a source of income to them, nothing else.

I admit my experience with Jews is limited. I only know a few Jews well, but being the chosen people does seem to inflate the ego a bit.

I know several (several being like 12) and they are all pretty cool to me - my soon to be brother-n-law is the nephew of James Caan.

He is also a hardcore Sarah Palin supporter. So we've learned that if we are to be friends and hangout - which we do several times a year, there are certain topics we don't bring up. Matter of fact we are going on a week long vacation together in August. Sarah Palin and Israel will not be discussed.

I'll bring his ass to buy a car with me in a heartbeat though.

I live in NY. So, basically I speak would could best be described as pigeon yiddish and know enough about the customs and holidays to make any yenta swoon. So, it is funny to hear people describe Jews here...

Geez, just when I was starting to think I'm like a regular person *sigh*

One of my close friends has a son who decided to become orthodox. This son and his wife have gone through 3 marriage ceremonies apparently because of doubt that the first two were performed exactly right. My friend (a colleague of my wife) refuses to talk any politics at all with his son (so he'll continue being able to see his grandkids). But when he gets home, it's usually a rant about his son's beliefs.

Bklyn, do you live in Brooklyn? I grew up there but I now live in NC.
