Robert Loggia, a durable and versatile tough guy actor in movies and TV shows including Brian De Palma’s 1983 drama “Scarface” and “Big,” died Friday at his home in Los Angeles, his widow Audrey confirmed to Variety. He was 85.

Loggia had been battling Alzheimer’s Disease for the past five years, according to his widow. They had been married for 33 years.

He was nominated for a supporting actor Academy Award for “Jagged Edge” in 1986 for his portrayal of blunt private detective Sam Ransom.

Loggia’s most notable film credits included “An Officer and a Gentleman,” “Prizzi’s Honor,” “Independence Day,” David Lynch’s “Lost Highway” and “Big,” in which he played a toy company owner and performed a memorable duet on a giant foot-operated piano with Tom Hanks. He played Miami drug lord Frank Lopez in “Scarface.”

He had a small but memorable role in the Sopranos as the old breed of gangster who just got out of prison, comes back and wants to go back the old ways - so Tony sets him up to go back to prison in about 2 days

The Grinder is excellent television. I caught on late, but binge watched it this weekend and it slays me. Rob Lowe is sneaky funny.

I would do this every year if I had this house. If you don't get it right away , just stare at the left side a few minutes

In 2009, a relatively unknown network launched a show starring six relatively unknown actors. It was called "The League," and yet despite these variables, pundits believed that the riskiest thing about the comedy was its subject matter: fantasy football. Fantasy is so ubiquitous now that we can forget the dark cloud of dorkiness that used to hover around it. Even though "The League" is ultimately a show about friendship (and trash-talking), there's no doubt that the characters -- Kevin (Steve Rannazzisi) and Jenny (Katie Aselton), Pete (Mark Duplass) and Andre (Paul Scheer), Ruxin (Nick Kroll) and Taco (Jon Lajoie) -- helped change the perception of fantasy sports more than any show on TV.

And so as "The League" comes to an end tonight (10 p.m., FXX), it's only fitting that we celebrate the show with an exploration of how it came to be. Here's what happened, as told by those who made it happen.

star wars awakens very similar to first one parts I liked parts I didn't

rey rinn and finn and poe are the new charactars. I think they will be good going forward.

ending sets up nicely for the next one

the disappointment was you felt like the similariites from the first one and believe me there are a lot of similarities to the first one---could have been much better choreographed and filmed. almost felt like 1980 starwars did a better job with the action seqeunces and certain other sequences compared to 2015

but it did the job--got my grandson hooked and many of the people around us
