There's often collateral damage in cases like this, but I concur with Rat...

Well, I don't want anything to happen to you. The world is a better place with both you and rat, in it.

Rat:

You're in Bluffton, correct?

I know I can google, but do you have any first hand knowledge of resorts on HHI? I want to take the wife down there for 3-4 nights this fall, let her do a spa day, etc, and wanted to see if you had any perspective. Same goes for any restaurants down there.

Thanks.

I'm still in Cincy but I would suggest the Marriott Hilton Head Resort and Spa in Palmetto Dunes. There are a bunch of good restaurants but my favorite nice place is Hudsons but there are a lot of good ones.

Kentucky is getting international attention for a recent five-day party billed as a "Redneck Rave." Dozens of people were arrested or cited.

Blue Holler Off Road Park in Edmonson County hosted last week's event that organizers said would feature "mud, music, and mayhem."

It was mayhem for sure. The sheriff told WNKY that 14 people were arrested and another 34 were cited on criminal charges that ranged from assault and strangulation to drug and alcohol possession. One man reportedly had his throat slit, and a woman was allegedly choked "until she was losing consciousness" in a fight over a blanket.

Some who attended reported accidental injuries. That included one person who was impaled by a log that pierced the floorboard of his vehicle.

The organizer posted on Facebook they plan to improve on the things that happened at this event and make the one scheduled for October even better.

Yep, that's definitely what the author of My Old Kentucky Home had in mind when he wrote that song...

I go at least once a year to Hilton Head and it's so commercialized now, you can get just about any cuisine you want.

I know Rat likes to hang out at Guissepie's...

Yeah. This sounds like one of the big event weekends at Busco Beach (ATV park near my childhood home we previously discussed)

I told you guys the story of my uncle wanting My Old Kentucky Home being played as his funeral, but I had to find the instrumental version of it because his grandaughter was married to a black guy.

Not following this? Unless her husband was old and gay…

My Old Kentucky Home, Goodnight
Song by John Prine

Oh, the sun shines bright
On my old Kentucky home
'Tis summer,
The old folks are gay
Well, the corn top's ripe
And the meadow's in the bloom
While the birds make music
All the day
Weep no more, my lady
Oh, weep no more, today
We sing one song
For my old Kentucky home
For my old Kentucky home
Far away.
Well, the young folks roll
All around the cabin floor
They're merry, all
Happy and bright
By 'n by hard times will
A-come a-knockin' at my door
Then my old Kentucky home
Good night
Weep no more, my lady
No, weep no more, today
We sing one song
For my old Kentucky home
For my old Kentucky home
Far away.
Weep no more, my lady
Oh, weep no more, today
We sing one song
For my old Kentucky home
For my old Kentucky home
Far away.
For my old Kentucky home
Far away
