If they played a conference championship game they probably wouldn't.

Would have loved to have seen an Oregon/Bama matchup for the NC game No way could the Duck defense stop the Bama offense, but at least Oregon would test the Bama D.

Bama is so much bigger. ND looks like a MAc conference team.

Tonight was ridiculous. This game proved how fundamentally flawed college football is so long as there isn't a playoff.

Its not that Notre Dame was outplayed in every single aspect of the game. It is instead, that they were completely out-athleted. They had absolutely no business being on the same field as Alabama, certainly no RIGHT to even play for the national championship.

The Irish were completely out-recruited. Their best players (Notre Dame's defensive linemen) all got physically hurt by Alabama. They were all on the sidelines in pain after being completely brutalized against boys so much stronger and more athletic than they were. I felt sorry for them. The Irish fans were embarassed.

There are 4 SEC teams that could have disembolwed Notre Dame tonight the way Alabama did. The only non-SEC team in college football that had a chance of beating that Alabama team was Oregon, but they went and fucked themselves right in the ass against Stanford. Hopefully (when they go to a 4-team playoff) unbalanced horseshit in national championship games like we all witnessed tonight, will not repeat itself. Until that time, we should just annoint the SEC Champion AS the national champion and spare the rest of the college football world all the pain and trouble of watching some other team like Notre Dame get their nuts kicked in....

Tonight's ass whipping was almost as bad as IB gets his ass whipped around here on a daily basis...

After this thrashing, Notre Dame probably won't start next season ranked any higher than #3.

Tonight was just stupid. I could count on one hand the number of plays that Notre Dame's defense stopped Alabama for a loss. I have to keep reminding myself that Pittsburgh should have beaten Alabama.

OSU would've given it a better shot.

Congratulations...that was impressive. I wish we had acquitted ourselves better. Will come around post-recovery. I usually keep a presence over at the Michigan forum with DSL.

Again, congrats on a complete and fairly spectacular win.

listening to Urban Meyer, I don't think he wanted any part of this Bama team.

1 Loss SEC team > undefeated team in any other conference
