"How a broker spent $520m in a drunken stupor and moved the global oil price
PVM Oil Futures trader Steve Perkins bought 7m barrels of crude in late-night trading binge on his laptop, driving the oil price to an eight-month high."

Yeah, oil futures has NOTHING to do with oil price. No way. Can't affect it in the least bit.

Shoot this motherfucker in the head and any other asshole that tries to do this shit on a daily basis. Fuck 4.00 / gallon of gas.

Oh hell yeah, it was. I'm wondering if the women he was "impressing" knew what they were witnessing.

Heh, evidently this dude came in at 2 in the morning and started buying the shit out of futures. There is hardly anybody trading at that hour, certainly not at those levels, so of course when a ton of buy orders hit the platform and there are only about 30 other insomniac geeks that comprise the entire market (such as it is) at that hour, then of course they're going to run away as fast as possible. I'm sure they all freaked out, not knowing whether or not some cataclysmic event had taken place that they didn't know about yet, so they jacked up their sell price while this fool just kept buying. Guarantee if he had come in during normal hours, his whole order would have been filled at (or within a few ticks) of his bid and the market would have hummed along without a blip...

I think Romney needs to seize upon Sequestration as his big campaign issue.

Thousands of jobs are going to be lost if sequestration happens and it would seem that congress isn't capable of reaching some agreement with the white house.

Romney could get some serious mileage out of that, especially if he were report that the department of labor is playing politics with releasing the data

I don't know if it'll fly as a campaign issue, but he can roll it out at the debate as an item showing lack of Presidential leadership and then have his surrogates keep it as a topic.

Romney making a bunch of stump speeches referencing it will have the listeners check out, imo.

I don't know if that's a good idea, I have seen where he has been sassed for taking deductions on his Olympic horse, so I'm not sure the equestrian issue is a good move for him...

I seem to recall Obammers enraged, teeth clinched pastor ranting on about "Goddamn America". But, my memory isn't what it used to be.

Yeah, and he repudiated the guy. Haven't seen Romney repudiate the bible-thumping christian crowd nor the teeth-gritting trailer park crowd yet. And don't expect to. That's why the repub party has gone to shit. Yeah, the dems have to pander to the coloreds and the fags and the latinos, but the repubs are stuck with the jesus freaks and the redneck racist idiots. Trust me, the colored and the fags and the latinos are a much funner crowd...

I have to say, however, that I'm a little disappointed in our darker skinned brethren when it comes to gay rights. You'd think they would sympathize with the homos, but no. Why the brothas and sistas tryin' to keep the cocksuckers and muff divers down? The latinos ain't much more tolerant their own damn selves. It just ain't right...

Blame it on the church.

I haven't seen Romney repudiate the Mormon church's position on black people (until 1978's "correction") or the church's position on interracial couplings. Everyone was (apparently still are) all dick-harded on some sermons given by a decorated ex-Marine who was fired in the kiln of racially segregated America, but sit silent on the positions of the LDS church. Seems a bit selective, at its most minor possibility. Obama doesn't associate with Rev. Jeremiah Wright (and if you know any black men over 60, trust that they sympathized and understood the lens of which that sermon was given by Wright), but Romney still is a member in good standing of the LDS church.

to be fair, the media isn't blasting those positions every night on TV.

I wasn't aware the mormons had a policy on anything other than caffeine and pussy

That's a very good point I hadn't thought of. And well put, too...
