What about the dad? No choice for him or for the baby.

At least pnn stayed out of the pro-choice/pro-life pit. It always had that going for it.

Anyway viability will continue to become earlier and earlier until its not long after conception due o the advance of science.
I already addressed this. Artificial uterus or transplant to another host. As for the other, don't confuse terms of art with belief. When I was in practice, I told my patients that I was a pre-mama physician, not a mommie doctor or a baby doctor.

Nope. Nor can he force a termination of pregnancy so he doesn't have to pay child support.

If there is a heartbeat, then the fetus is alive.

Still no answer for my first question: If it's not alive, why do you have to kill it to have an abortion?

Not a question for me. An abortion is a medical term for evacuation of the uterus in a pre-viable pregnancy. There's therapeutic, imcomplete, elective, and partial (note not partial-birth). You don't have to kill something to have an abortion.

In practice, I agree with AA. Because of the ease of doing them in the office and the ease of a physician who just claims that there is no heartbeat, early terminations will be extremely hard to prevent. Post-viable inductions are just pre-term deliveries.

Liberals tell us how we must live every single aspect of our lives. They want to tell us what light bulbs to use, that we must wear seatbelts (even in the back seat), whether we are allowed to eat french fries, force us to wear helmets when we ride bicycles, where/when we can smoke cigarettes, whether we are allowed to publicly disagree with homosexuality, whether we should be allowed to home school our own children, what cars we should drive, whether we should be allowed to own guns, the list is endless.

Why is it that liberals suddenly care so deeply about government imposing its will in the case of abortion? They are fine with government imposing its will on citizens in every other case.

That's funny. Earlier today, I heard some liberals say the same thing about conservatives. I suspect that both sides are exaggerating but are also both right.

The general rule of thumb is liberals want to regulate everything in your life except sex. With conservatives, it's the opposite.

Good question.

Tough to say.

Hmmm...let's think about that. Oh, boy...

Well...they do love to kill babies. Maybe it's no more complicated than that.

Where'd you get that definition?

Let me guess... Some shit bag ACLU-type attorney who said it was OK? Or at least gives someone who wants to believe it's OK a way to salve the possibility of a conscience?

Obviously, I disagree with the process. Primarily because it's so offen used as a birth control instad of responsibility. I wouldn't like it, but can actually turn my head and ask forgiveness in the case of rape, incestual rape, or documented proof the mother's life is in peril. There's a heartbeat... The fetus is alive

Children do what feels good at the moment. Adults devise a plan and do their best to stick to it AA was absolutely right. This conversation holds no merit

my 4 years of medical school, my 4 years of residency and my multiple years of practice as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist (before I went to law school) and my umpteenth years of required Continuing Medical Education. Where did you get your definitions?

I offered no definitions, but merely stated fact. If you'd like to consider it definitions then feel free. I expected as much for where you derived the one you offered. I hope your education was money well spent.

One moment there's a heartbeat, the next moment there is not. It was done on purpose. I'll stick with aircraft repair.

So you're both a doctor AND a lawyer? Do you ever have an uncontrollable urge to sue yourself for malpractice?
