She was a great one. She went quick and early. She only left coaching about three years ago, and was only 64.

Sadly ironic that her counterpart - Dean Smith - is going the same way. Two giants in their professions. Tragic.

While the topic at hand is sad (as my father battles dementia daily), the last few posts made me LOL.

A Jabar Gaffney-like catch in the endzone ruled incomplete, a legal hit with the helmet turned away confirmed as targeting, it's great to see College Football back, and the WWAVC still going strong. We have a decent shot at making it 12 in a row in a few weeks if Appy keeps it up.

The UT crowd didn't seem very excited about that field goal their boys just made. Why don't UT fans support their team?

Jesus christ, if Tennessee is the #9 team in the country, this is going to be a shitty year for college football...

Its going to be pretty hard to recall a game where the winning team lucked out so hard, both with the extra point being the margin and the ridiculous OT touchdown.

Should just play 2 hand touch and be done with it.

Another example why the Dave Casper rule should apply on all plays. A team should never gain yardage from a fumble.

I'm going to chalk Tennessee's underwhelming performance up to first-game jitters. I still expect the Vols to defeat VT fairly handily next week in Bristol. I'll say 35-17.
