it looks like the second cruise we booked is going to be canceled so I'm not sure I'll make it to Alaska anytime soon.

The first time the cruise canceled I tried to cancel my airline tickets and Delta fucked me over resulting in me paying $500 to rebook them to a later date, so I'm not doing this again.

So I have two tickets to Seattle in early June and I think I'm going to spend 2 days in the Seattle area hiking and then drive over to Glacier National Park. My plan at the moment is to rent a vrbo or AirBnB place near the park.

I know some of you have been out there before - is there a city or area that is more desirable in terms of restaurants/groceries where I should look to rent the place?

I think we've already decided to spend 2 days in Couer d'Alenne, Idaho as part of the vacation too

White Fish is the nearest "big town" but I bet it's less than 20K population. You can probably get a hot dog there, though. West Glacier is the little town just outside the park, it's mostly rental stores for bikes and rafting, etc., but I bet there are plenty of cabins and whatnot thereabouts on vrbo. I might be wrong but I was thinking there were cabins for rent inside the park. No amenities or stores, though, obviously..

I suspect the cabins in the park are in high demand. I think I'd rather be close to some place with options.

I just went out on TripAdvisor and there are at least 20 restaurants in Whitefish
