So should I root for or against FSU when they play Miami?
Do whatever you want. It won't spare the Canes.

always good to beat Miami - great game for Freeman, hope he stays healthy for the rest of the season

Jameis finally looked human but still did a good job of driving the team down the field despite the two ints - hope these guys can remain focused and not overlook any of the remaining games

It is comical that he looked so "average" yet his stats were still excellent. I guess it's due to the two INTs but for the most part the offense was extremely efficient...two INTs, one punt, all others resulted in points. If our opponents have to get an INT to stop us, we'll be just fine.

You'll be just fine? You will only be fine if some other teams lose.

The Seminole nation will really be rooting for Stanford and Oklahoma Thursday night like you've never rooted for them before...

Oklahoma? Baylor is not a threat. Even if they run the table (which they won't). The same confirmation bias that is keeping us behind UO and UA is going to keep Baylor behind us, and likely anOSU.

I'm not stressing a bit about being the third wheel at this point. If Bama and Oregon run the table, then congratulations to them and may the best team win the MNC. Hell, I'm not completely sold on my own team though I've seen almost every play this year. However, if we do continue to roll our opponents, I will be firmly convinced that we are not only capable of beating but better than any other teams. We would be favored over UO by a TD, and a slight underdog to UA, but double digit favorites over anOSU and Baylor.

Of the remaining undefeated BCS teams, Baylor has the MOST to gain by the remainder of its schedule as it is far and away, the toughest. Ohio State had the weakest remaining schedule, then Michigan State won. Probably still the weakest remaining schedule but they have to HOPE that State keeps winning and then they play State in the B1G-T12N championship in Indiana.

You say this NOW. But if you expect me to think that you would feel this way if Alabama, Oregon, and FSU are ALL 13-0 in mid December (and you guys are stuck in the Orange Bowl with Louisville) and that you would be okay with that (congratulations to Oregon and Alabama), then I'm calling bullshit on that.

Too bad none of this will matter as the 4-team playoff isn't until January of 2015. As of right now, you have to sweat the stuff you can't control.

Almost every play? You mean you haven't been behind your team 100%?? 99.9% doesn't count. Bandwagon fan! Bandwagon fan!!

Well, you tell me?

How do you think Auburn fans felt watching Oklahoma in their last few games of 2004? You think this is any different for FSU? True, U of Florida hasn't been in this situation yet (and with the expansion to 4, hopefully you never will be) but it is possible that some teams will be shafted in mid December.

I know how they felt. Their coach coaches here in town now. Learned all about it.

What the fuck does Oklahoma have to do with the fate of FSU? As of right now, FSU is #2 in the BCS with an excellent chance of winning out. I can see MAYBE Stanford but OU's schedule after that is garbage. So is FShoes. Gonna come down to the better conference if OU wins. It happens.

Look at Baylor's remaining strength of schedule.

Thu, Nov 7 vs #10 Oklahoma
Sat, Nov 16 vs #25 Texas Tech*
Sat, Nov 23 @ #14 Oklahoma State
Sat, Nov 30 @ TCU
Sat, Dec 7 vs Texas

Are you fucking kidding me? There is ZERO chance that Baylor finishes 12-0. But if they do (if somehow, someway, they manage to beat all those top 25 teams) not only are they going way up on the BCS poll, they'll leapfrog a 13-0 Alabama to #1. The computer algorythms are ruthless in their cold, calculating, objectivity.

That is what the fuck Oklahoma has to do with the fate of FSU.

Stanford definately. There is a major rooting interest on FSU's part for Stanford. If Oregon goes 12-0, the Pac-12 South champ is likely to be much higher ranked than a 9-3 VPI (whom FSU will have to play) when they make mincemeat of their remaining schedule.

I'm still laughing at Baylor @ #1. Alabama could lose one & still be ahead of Baylor. IB is a confused poor SOB. His wife is at a bake sale tonight for underprivileged white kids in the Hamptons.

Welp, we will never know because Baylor isn't going 12-0. The remaining schedule is impossible.

There is no way that current #6 Baylor, because they play three ranked teams, would jump a 13-0 Bama (who is firmly entrenched at #1) who also would have played three ranked teams.

It's silly.
