AA - do you have a particular swamp/plantation/Katrina tour etc that you particularly liked?

The wife wants to do one saturday between Mothers and football (mainly to get me out of the casino I suspect).

I like Oak Alley outside and Destrehan inside.

If you go to Oak Alley, stay on the porch and let the wife tour. While she's inside, you drink your weight in mint juleps. Let her drive, though.

The line on the Bama-Fla game has moved from Bama -5.5 to Bama -3.5. That is a huge jump this soon. Apparently, all the bets are wisely going on Florida.

Thanks.

I think I am gonna have to go Bama on this one - but it definitely isnt a bet the house game. The inbreds will have the swamp rocking and it will be a tough spot for Bama's young QB.

However I think Bama's defense makes UF's offense one dimensional - and at that point Brantley will be good for some turnovers.

I say Bama 17-13 or 24-20 something along those lines.

6.5 or 7.5 is more accurate, just bet the gazebo instead of the house. Gators have more than a sluggers chance to win this, but it would still be more than a mild upset to get over on the Tide. Their DLine can play smashmouth and make our OLine look 1-AA. Their LB's and DEs are fast enough to get in those outside lanes the Demps and Rainey have been dashing through against slower competition. Our D will make some good plays, but will give up some big plays too.

We get a few lucky slips and bobbles, Weis calls a good game, and Sturgis is on target while Bammer comes out a little uninspired , yeah that would be fun but there are more chances of it going the other way.

I don't know who will win. I do know this, though: both teams will be sore and bruised come Sunday.

AA has honed that craft very well.

Fact is, gators will have to stack the line to try to slow down bama's awesome ground game. 3/4 of the gator secondary is suspect...and the rules say you can only put 11 out there.

Their real problem is Brantley. Dump passes to Demps and Rainey won't work Saturday. Brantley will have to stand in the pocket and deliver...2 or 3 shots in his earhole, and he'll revert to being the old Brantley. I wouldn't be surprised if the home team only scores twice.

There are very few dead-nut locks like this a year. I'm all over this one.

No, no fun at all. We don't have an answer for Florida's speed. And yes I'm serious.

Bammer scores one less TD and Gators score one more making it 31-21.
