I've been lucky, my wife has her vices, but she never strays too far from pragmatic common sense

"My wife and I both agreed we will probably never see them again in our lifetime."

You'll see them in Hell, though..

I'm kinda on the opposite side on the crazy equation. If a woman doesn't have some kind of crazy in her, I lose interest. I understand that there are different types and levels and of course there are some of both that I wouldn't put up with for a second, for instance, no Jehovah's witnesses or even somebody super religious (by that I mean somebody who goes to church every Sunday - fuck that shit). Even just being a christian is a red flag for me, but I could tolerate it if it's not too pervasive. But a wiccan with crystals? Esp. if she looks like Cindy Crawford? Bring that shit on. I've dealt with far worse than that. Far worse. On the other side of the coin, I always keep in mind that they're having to put up with my shit, too. Ward Cleaver, I ain't...

The MIF has about pushed me to the limit on crazy though. She's a Trump supporter, not for any reason, she couldn't identify a policy position if it fucked her in the ass, but b/c, well, I don't even know why. But she is. We were watching him blabber on about something a few weeks ago, it might've been the debate (she hates Biden), I asked her if she'd fuck Trump, she said yes. Now that's fucking crazy...

Melania won't even fuck Trump

I don't want super christian either

A woman that I had a serious crush on, and admittedly followed (stalked) on facebook for a few years, she had the perfect life - kids, husband, heavy into church, apparently very well off, and she still looks amazingly close to what she looked like in high school - just a solid 9 for her age.

Well sadly her husband died like 3 days ago. I assume of Covid but I don't really know, and you know, even though I'm married and wouldn't really act on it, you can't help but think , wow, she'll be on the market in a few months, and then I started thinking about how religious she is and it was like - here is the one that go away that I've been thinking about for 30 years, still just a gorgeous as she was at 17, and even if I was single, I wouldn't even reach out to her because she is so religious and I wouldn't listen to that for 10 minutes before wanting to get the hell out of there.

but to me, I don't see any difference between Wiccan, healing crystals and Jebus lovers.

The girlfriend prior to the wife called the office threatening to kill me when I broke up with her because I kept the dachshund.

So, there's that type of crazy.

You guys know that I grew up in Paducah, but technically my mailing address was a small town called Kevil, but actually Kevil was about 10 miles from my house. If you wanted to get specific, I grew up in an area called Future City, but even more specific, I lived in Lamont which was an area maybe 5 miles square. I don't think anyone really referred to it as Lamont by the time I was in my teens.

Someone posted a picture of the elementary school class in Lamont from 1933. I found it interesting.

From this picture

Image

The reason I found it interesting is because I know most of the people in this photo which means that the majority of the people in this photo grew up and never left (with maybe other than the war years) this little 5 square mile area. That seems so foreign to me. All went to the same methodist church, buried in 1 of two cemetaries depending on how old they were when they died.

Gourley B Trewolla - I always called him Uncle B. I never asked why but I understand now - who the fuck wants to be called Gourley. Tightest MF"er I've ever known, he'd borrow something from you and then engrave his name on it. A guy I went to high school with owns his farm now.

The Elrod's married the Jenkins, The Hite's married the Moss' and the Perkins married the Humphries. I am from the Trewolla/Hill marriages.
