You should try to get your weight to drop down by a third, which would still put you at 13 stone...

so I mentioned it before but the second season of Black Sails really came into it own.

Instead of just trying to be a rated R version of Pirates of the Caribbean, they really established some decent plot lines and character development.

Again, I could live without the whole forced gay thing but it was short lived. The season finale was very strong.

Yeah the last two episodes of that were just awesome. And the finale was some good shit.

I'm glad eCat has made peace with the gay pirate plotline.

From now on, I will always associate eCat with gay pirates.

John Oliver's show last night had a segment where he interviewed Edward Snowden. It was great , I expect him to win some kind of award.

Its 30 minutes long but its worth watching

That was excellent. John Oliver balanced his silliness with real questions that were important.

I guess what I like about it is that I was surprised at how well he brought it all together.

And Snowden played along even though I think he thought early on WTF is this guy doing? I don't think Snowden was prepped for it ahead of time at all

Yeah, no way he knew things were going in that direction. I am not a Snowden fan, but I think he helped to get me to be a little less angry at his approach to disclosing these government secrets.

Also, I watched that "AD" miniseries premiere last night and it lead to the new series "American Odyssee" on NBC. It was pretty good "Homeland" style television. It's not a full network season (20+ eps), so maybe it will be able to keep a well-paced, cohesive storyline.

no shock as I've said it before, but I am a Snowden supporter.

We need laws that define and protect whistle blowers with more clarity

What about stuttering whistle blowers or asthmatic whistle blowers?

you know there was a poignant moment in that interview when Oliver tells Snowden "you have to own that you gave information to journalist who could be incompetent enough to release material that could be harmful to American security" and Snowden really struggled with it. I thought that was interesting.

"you know there was a poignant moment in that interview"

Some might even say an ironic moment...
