Usually that means UT signed 38 players to get that high a ranking. I think they somehow counted the extras back to the Johnny a Majors era, but I digress.
This UT class appears to have some quality as well as unexplainable quantity.

... and if you didn't hear, it appears Peterman decided to ensure Dobbs will be the starter next season. Peterman transferred to Pitt.

Pretty sure it was Dobbs who ensured it'd be Dobbs starting next season. Peterman saw the 4-star qbs coming in and knew he'd never get the chance to mop up next year.

I'm not that convinced about Dobbs settling that issue. Coach Jones wasn't that convinced either. He mentioned several time during and after Dobbs playing how Dobbs was still inconsistent. Butch has stated Dobbs has a lot of room for improvement.

At any rate, very happy news....
Heavily recruited 5 star Ole Miss commitment Drew Richmond has decommitted. He is expected to sign with Tennessee.
This may put our recruiting class at #2 in the nation.

Son of a @#$%...
4 star running back Kendall Bussey decommitted from Tennessee and is heading to Texas A&M. Confirmed.

I tend to agree.
The really good news is 5 star RB Alvin Kamara has already signed. I suspect that is why Bussey went to A&M. He knew Alvin would be the leader coming in, probably taking up most of the playing time if any got any in the '15 season.
The bad news is, with Alvin, we only have three 'backs.
Hopefully we can pick up one more 'back or we can look at converting someone to 'back.
Overall, we are heading into a fantastic recruiting class.

The Vols have 28 commits. Only need 10 more to fill out this class nicely.
