And of course, Hubert Davis tops him as a homer, picking the Heels over the Spartans for the title.
Geez...I get sick of all the ass kissing of Tom Izzo.

And Vitale is on UK's bandwagon now, picking the Cats over the Heels.

I see the same final. Although it's only Sunday.

Carolina got a gift with their bracket.
Syracuse actually has a tough 16 in UNCAsheville.

The West looks boring.
After watching their championship, it was clear, they are not that good.
Florida State is very good. I think they might beat Kentucky.
Thus guy isnt real right?
Rat, you don't think State is playing great ball right now?
A lot of this is just timing. UConn waiting until the tourney to play their best basketball of season, gave them the championship last year.

hedge wrote:If we don't make the FF, it will be one of the monumental chokes by a UNC squad ever. No way we shouldn't make the FF this year. After that, it's a crapshoot, but if we don't get past Michigan and Kansas, we suck...
I don't see anyone in that Midwest bracket that can challenge UNC, maybe NC State or possibly St Mary's, but neither of those two schools are getting to the Great-8, so I think you guys are good all the way to the final 4. Hedge, much that I hate to say it since I fucking hate your guts, but your Tar-Heels drew a real pussy bracket so you'll probably be pretty happy for the next two weeks.
Kentucky
on the other hand, they might have just been fucked-in-the-ass in the bracket that they drew. I think that there are 5 of 6 teams that could take them down, Wichita, VCU, Duke, Baylor, UConn, any one of those teams could beat a team of freshman like what Kentucky has.

We call Atlanta "Catlanta" because of the huge UK fanbase there. Its our strongest city for fan attendance in the south away from Rupp.
I'm not sure I'd want to play Kansas in St. Louis.

Waaaaahhh. You are just pissed because we both know Mizzou is going to kick Florida's nuts in, in the second round. Look on the bright side Rat, it will all be over for you by this time next week.

Goldie -- Quit crying about having to play in St. Louis. We lost to FSU twice, but still got a #1 seed. We probably should've been shipped out West.

what about Vandy? Winning their first since 1951.
That's a good veteran team. Their biggest Achilles heel is their coach.
couple of things - two former NCAA committee chairman trashed Cal and the one and dones. Cal makes a good point - how can those guys go on the record trashing his program and be in a position to unbiasly create and promote the NCAA tournament seedings?
Might have a little bit to do with how UK faces North Carolina and Ohio State last year.
Also, forgot, not only does Western Kentucky have Gilchrist's high school teammate but Miss Valley St is Sean Woods team which is an amazing story. 2 years ago he had to go on out and play a bunch of road games for money just to keep his program solvent. They were going to shut it down and now he is in the NCAA tournament.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but a potential Duke-ND second round matchup could earn the highest PSF factor in the history of college basketball.
Also, Hizzy passed away? How? Very sad (and I know I'm weeks late).
