I was hoping for ND. Bama needs redemption for 1973.

Come on...

...these statements are mutually exclusive.

A Notre Dame win will take you back and make you feel 40 years younger!

Heh...I can't imagine you having any more fun that when we were losing...

Hey Clash, did you get to SB for a game this year? I just got to one, Wake Forest. Fall is the balls to the wall time of the year in my work. 'I would have liked to have gone to Florida for the BCS game, I've got plenty of time in Januray, but I have to pay for a wedding this December. Not in the fiscal budget.

"Bama needs redemption for 1973."

A weird statistic. The Carolina Panthers have lost 13 coin tosses in a row. The odds of that happening are 1 in 8,152. You talk about your bad luck.

that is the game that gets us in the playoffs

and that gerogia bama game saturday was the best game of the year. georgia screwed the pooch by not grounding it in the end.

hard game to call for the championship. I think notredame will have 3/4 of the crowd in the orange bowl and somehow steal another victory just as they have done all year.

If the Tide was undefeated I would say ND has a chance. Considering that's not the case...

Copied from another forum before Georgia lost to Alabama...
I'll poke the bear. Here are a few facts:

1. Everett Golson is a better QB than AJ McCarron.
2. Theo Riddick is a better RB then Alabama's 3rd-string RB who will be the starter in the Natty Ship game. Cierre Wood is better than him as well.
3. Tyler Eiffert is better than any offensive player Alabama has at any position.
4. The two best DL playing the game will both be playing for ND.
5. The best LB playing the game will be playing for ND.
6. The best DB playing in the game will be playing for ND.

Have any of you whiny coonts actually watched Alabama--aside from the Michigan game? When they are not pounding on utterly awful bottom dwellers and actually have to play someone their own size they look like an offensively inept team with a great defense. In other words, they look like Notre Dame. Think of it this way, Alabama's rocketshipping of Michigan--which may as well have happened in a different century based on the personnel losses Alabama has suffered during the season--appears to be why they were considered "invincible" until they got beat at home by the 6th best team in the conference--who abandoned their previous conference because they got tired of getting repeatedly skull fucked by Texas, Oklahoma and since T Boone started wrting big checks--OK State. In contrast, ND stomped the shit out of Oklahoma in Norman. And if you factor in the Stanford game--and to the fuckface that said ND won because of a bad call obviously knows shit about football or the fact that the RBs elbow was indisputably down--the fact is both of ND's signature wins were more impressive than Alabama's signature wins over Michigan and LSU.

Frankly, if I am ND Georgia scares me more than Alabama. Sure, Mark Richt can lose any game at any time, but Georgia has an offense that ND will have to work to contain. With Bama, based on what I watched against LSU, all they have to do is sit back in a close game and let AJ McCarron play like AJ McCarron.
I think it will be a game, not a blowout.
