Can't decide if I like the place or not. The mega casinos have alot to offer but they are a horrible display of humanity
The high dollar prostitutes hang out at the Starbucks at 4am. Its always a self esteem boost to walk by them.

I dont like the big huge casinos like CP, MGM Grand etc
I prefer the Cosmo, Bally's , Cromwell - smaller places you can easily navigate.

You'd have trouble navigating on an aircraft carrier, but at least they have those men with flags to help you...

Our conferences are always at the Wynn or Bellagio, but hate table gaming there. We usually take an Uber out to a small out of the way local joint called Ellis Island. The dealers will help you because they know conventioneers tip heavily when they win a little. Made a bunch of money with a group at the cross table and had no idea what I was doing.

What do you mean by "a bunch of money" exactly?

Dealers will tell you what to do at any $5 blackjack table in Vegas. The problem is some old lady who's sitting on 14 and takes the dealer's bust card. Nothing you can do about that...

Started with $300 and left with $800. I'm such a high roller.

I've decided I hate this casino and Las Vegas in general
Came here about 5 years ago and had a blast but now I'm getting up at the time some of the partiers are going to bed.
Maybe if I was with a different group of people I would like it.
Its also rained the two nights I had available to go out which is bad timing I guess. Rain here is like us getting 8" of snow in Cinci.

"Ellis Island is great fun"
The original Ellis Island was fun too, until your ancestor stepped foot on it, since which time its been referred to as Atlantis...

I don't see a problem here. If we're going to have homeless people the least we can do is get them all together at a conference once a year with booze and strippers.

meanwhile in Idaho
we haven't had more than 6" of snow here in 15 years. One of the few things I was looking forward to when I moved up this way was snow. I just get mud and crippling depression

The depression goes well with the beret, cigarette and cup of espresso...
