I remember as a kid growing up 4 rivalry games right after Thanksgiving.
Florida - Florida State of course
Texas - Texas aTm
Michigan - OSU but we never really watched that one. No one cared.
And I thought it was USC - UCLA in either the Rose Bowl or the Coliseum. Did they always end with ND? Probably past my bed time back then with no cable.

Was that a Friday game? Sounds familiar but again, I grew up in Cincy, Up here Bama - Auburn meant as much as Central Michigan - Windsor.

depends on the age AA. growing up in the late '80's and 90's FSU-UF was bigger. anytime before that and the Iron Bowl was by far the bigger game.

IB this is why the ACC gets no respect as a football conference. 0-4 today against the SEC. Two of the games being blowouts and the other two by double digits with the SEC pulling away. ACC coaching is horrific.

I thought the Iron Bowl was usually played on Fridays, too.

Jesus. The SEC is so far ahead of the ACC that it's pathetic.

Is it possible for the computers to push Florida ahead of the SEC champion?

Irish Miami Bound. What a magical season. They were not even ranked in pre season, yet here they are. All thanks to Brian Kelly and ball busting team. Look out AA the Irish on a roll. They have God on their side, they just ight pull off a miracle.

I've not run across Clashmore Mike since World Crossing went kaput. He's a great guy and really knew his sports.

I think NCState was banking on the fact that TOBy was able to win 8 a year consistantly at BC, that he would win 9 or 10 a year consistantly at NCState. That was the logic. Absent from the AD's reasoning was that BC was in the Big LEast for most of TOBy's tenure and the Big LEast sucks. That said, when Spaz gives his presser tomorrow to say that he will be leaving BC, I hope Brad Bates picks up the phone and asks TOBy if he wants his old job back....
....anything is better than 2-10. And we are not going to get a real coach because we'll never pay for it.
