What are you getting arrested for? I thought your wild days were over...

I got arrested twice in the past month. One for threatening to kill my cousin who owes me 80k and the other for not giving up a check to my daughter. First one I got probation. Second one is still before the grand jury

And all this is coming out b/c of my quip about you riding in police cars...
Why are you withholding monies from your daughter?

Learned long ago to never lend money to relatives. I have one who owes me 23k. I will never see it again, I am sure.
Damn. Your daughter called the cops?

Yep. All she had to do was stop by and pick up the check the bank sent but she didn't want to. So they charged me with theft even though I never cashed it. Totally shocked.

they have this auction site here in town and a few other places in the U.S.
If you know kind of know how the auction works and what to look for you can get some great deals.
Eariler this week I bid on a Proform Hybrid Elliptical Trainer - a piece of workout equipment that sells for around $379. It was labeled as an open box which usually means they can't guarantee it being complete or fully functional, but in this case it had the plastic zip tie things around it which lead me to believe it had never been opened, probably fell off a truck or something because the box was mangled. I bid up to $20 for it, and I got it for $8. Brought it up, sure enough, brand new, fully functional.
Last week I bought a Nordic Track VR25 commercial recumbent bike with a 7" LCD screen that sells for $699 for I think $85. It was missing a power supply.
a week before that a 6,000 BTU Window Unit A/C with a broken plastic vent for $47. I haven't even taken it out of the box.
In that earlier auction I also bought a Ryobi pressure washer with a honda motor that sells for $379 at home depot. So I went to pick it up and it was missing a wheel and a hose. Not a good start, Then I get it home and try to start it and the motor was locked up. I paid $65 for it so that's a loss, but today I sat down, took the starter off ,poured some 40w oil into the spark plug hole and down the overhead cam cover, then cranked the piston by hand. After about 10 rotations it loosened up. I put it back together and about the 8 or 9th pull the damn thing started up, smoked like a chimney for about about 5 minutes and then runs like a top.
I ordered a wheel and a hose from Ryobi for about $60 so I'm in this thing for about $120.
I live for this kind of shit
Now do I need any of this stuff? absolutely not, I'd be surprised if I use that exercise equipment more than 3 times.
But I am addicted to trying to get something for next to nothing.
here is the pressure washer with a temporary wheel I put on it

I think eCat should start his own little handyman YouTube channel where he fixes shit while he tells work and family stories and occasionally gets riled up talking politics and college hoops

I would watch it, and I'm serious.
I don't know about spoken delivery, but eCat has a talent for story telling in written form.
