The morning after...

You know what?! @#$% all of the idiots of the world and feed 'em fish heads. I'm a Vol and will continue to be a Vol fan. I'm going to the game this weekend to support my team. I'm going to buy a huge Coke, get fat, and burp a lot. And I'm going to sing Rocky Top over and over till my head blows up!!

IT'S GREAT TO BE A VOL!!!

A J Johnson suspended and the line didn't move. Interesting.

I'm not surprised. I think time will tell AJ wasn't all that great. Last season, we were all commenting about how he was taking horrible lines to the ball carrier and wasn't all that fast from sideline to sideline. If a ball carrier turned the corner, they were gone. Or at least he wasn't going to get them.

It seems the coaching staff is using him in different ways this season compared to last; AJ is helping rush the QB and get behind the line of scrimmage to get to the ball carrier versus leaving him out downfield and hoping he gets to the ball carrier on his own.

We'll miss AJ's experience and strength for sure. Plus, thanks to lack of depth on this team, we'll simply just miss him because we can't don't need to lose another player (along with Williams).

I'm thinking if we win or lose Saturday, it'll have little to do with AJ.

I wouldn't doubt it. We've already had one coach throw the Gator Bowl and then go to Florida.

Butch is more of a Michigan guy though. That's his place. I'd love to see him at Florida but I think he's heart is up there. Brian Kelly would be nice but as long as you're winning at ND and your name doesn't end in Faust you've got security.

The morning after...

Sorry to the GA fans. We weren't able to help you out. While our team is getting better and we are peaking at the right time, between a young team and depth issues aggravated by injuries and arrests, we just didn't have the personnel to beat Mizzou. I think Arkansas stands a good chance of beating them next week. I'm tempted to say Arkansas will win that game. But, it's a home game for Mizzou for so I'll hold back a bit.

A pat on the back to the Mizzou defense. They were pretty good. The thing that grabbed my attention about them was how fast they were. They were everywhere.

A big WTF to the refs last night. Bad enough they were blowing calls all over the place on both sides of the ball, but they really seemed to be hesitant all night long which made things worse. The dropped ball initially ruled a fumble in the first half and reversed on the review, wtf?! Every replay on the jumbotron from every angle known to mankind easily showed the ball carrier was down. Yet, they took a short eternity to reverse the call. It should not have been called a fumble to begin with!!

I'm not sold on Dobbs. More on that later. I'm a bit tired and have some things to do. Be back later.

That game today was an epic fail. Mike Smith should have been fired on the sideline.

Sorry to hear about Eric Berry. Hope his treatments are successful. One of the best college safeties I've ever seen.

Hard to swallow this news about EB. He's a genuinely good person and the NFL needs all of those they can get.
