It is so old that it doesn't work now. I posted it almost two years ago.

And the UCLA thread is always appropriate for videos!

Even Saban would turn the other way at that answer.

"It's so old it doesn't work now."

It's the internet. Nothing is ever lost.

my mom is here visiting me for a couple of weeks so I'm trying to find television that we both enjoy watching. I can't deal with Fox News 24/7.

At any rate, I've been recording the Ken Burns documentary about the Roosevelts. My DVR auto deleted the early episodes about Teddy, but I've been watching the ones about FDR. I find that time fascinating - He had his hand in everything and alot of what some of what I've thought about him has been wrong.

Also alot of parallels in politics - shit really isn't all that different today as it was back then.

Shit is never really that different. Filthy rich fucks trying to get their way at the expense of everyone else.

do you have ME TV on your cable system: http://metvnetwork.com/shows/

Or INSP, which has The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. that might be to her liking. http://www.insp.com

And there's always Hallmark and Lifetime

we have an ME station that you can get with an antennae

That'll really take you back to the days when you sat on the floor by your Mammy and Pappy's feet and said, "Good night, John Boy!"

I don't have cable in my bedroom so its Roku or antenna on the TV in there.

Occasionally I'll watch something on ME TV. They have some sitcoms from the 60's/70's I've never heard of on there.

Yeah, I liked when he said that Prince was coaxed onto the stage, late into the night and he took the mic and said "Dearly inebriated, we are gathered here today..." and then proceeded to do "Let's Go Crazy."

I would have paid money to be at the afterparty and just watch the sketches on TV.

Just having Eddie show up was a big deal, even if he did not do much. He had personally blacklisted the show after David Spade made that joke about him on Weekend Update 20+ years ago.

(I watched a Stevie Wonder Grammy Tribute last night. The performances were incredible. Lady Gaga went full Mama Cass meets Janis Joplin during "I Wish." If those performances were on iTunes I would cop 'em)

More details on the Spade/Murphy deal?

Nothing much to report, really. Spade was doing a Weekend Update ("Hollywood Report" or something, I think) segment and they showed a picture of Eddie. Spade said "look kids, a falling star."

Murphy was (reportedly) hot and felt that no other alumnus would have been made the butt of a joke, in that manner, on the show. After that, he refused to ever come back and participate in any of the specials or events.

Back when it first happened it seemed a little oversensitive on Eddie's part. Now, after some time, I think he has a point. Victoria Jackson is batshit crazy and I don't think they've ever even gone after her.

There were some good ones. Whoever the white kid who dueted (is that a word?) with Pharrell was, he killed it. Annie Lennox did, too. Actually, there were a lot of good performances. It would have been too easy to have the Peppers do Higher Ground with Beyonce, but Gary Clark, Jr. wasn't bad. That Bocelli dude was most disappointing.
