Worst 2 cars I've ever owned were Lincoln Continentals. Air bag suspension on those things are a joke. I drove it all the way to Lexington - 90 miles - to trade it with no air bags... frame riding on the axles. Went to Green's Toyota on New Circle Road and when I walked in, this huge black guy ( who I recognized immediately ) walked over to assist me. He said "I'm James Lee, how can I help you". Yep, the same James Lee who scored the final basket in the '78 championship game against Dook. Didn't know he was working for a car dealership. Anyway, I told him I was there to look for a Grand Marquis that my wife wanted. We went out on the lot and found a great looking one - hunter green. Took a test drive around Lexington. Was a bit awe struck that James Lee was riding in the same car a me. Told him about watching him in the championship game. Discussed UK basketball. This was the same year that Tubby was hired as UK coach. I asked him what he thought of the hire. He said he thought it was a great hire and Tubby should do good. I bought the car.

Agree Hedge. I've owned 2 Grand Marquis. The wife totaled ours last December. Drugged up kid on the wrong side of the road hit her head on. We replaced it with a Cadillac STS. Great car but the wife wants another Marquis. Just before the accident, I bought a VW Beetle Triple White for myself. Always wanted one. The wife liked it so much she drives it everyday now and we've parked the STS in the garage just to use on special occasions. Since I rarely get to drive the Bug anymore, a couple months ago I bought a Toyota Tacoma extra cab 4 wheel drive. Great truck. Yep, the Grand Marquis was a great car. May get another someday.
More proof hedge is an old fuddy duddy if he's in crotchs neighborhood

My dad bought a Mercury Marquis every two years from 1969 until he died in 1985. Great cars. The best years were the 70s and when the two remaining kids that have cars on my property leave, I’m buying one of these.
I’m a believer in big sedans. I drive 35k highway miles a year and love the power and smooth ride. Currently I have a CT6

I've been driving 4-door sedans since I was 16. Love em. They ride good, plenty of trunk space for golf clubs or camping gear, and you can fuck (or sleep) in the front or back seat. What's not to like? Gas mileage isn't great, but oh well...

"out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
out in the backseat of my sixty chevy"
More like a '77 Chevy for me, but the results were the same...

SUVs have been my only mode of transportation since 1997.

Up until this year, with 2 kids I believe I have needed either a mini-van or a 3 row SUV.
I bought a 3 row SUV last year and got rid of the mini-van. Gets like 17mpg. Just complete shit mileage.
But its AWD and can tow a boat/trailer
so I'll hang on to it.
Its actually about break even for me to rent a $30 a day rental car and take it on trips rather than drive that thing, so we pretty much do that unless we are moving the kid to school

Yeah. There have been a few these past 2 months. Riding in the back of a cop car with your hand handcuffed behind your back is no fun. Plus the seats are plastic
