Maryland doesn't help with academics, and I doubt Rutgers is that much better.

That's true, but UVa won't have voting power in this deal like they did with the ACC in 2003. They were the swing vote and were forced to switch their vote by the Va legislature in a deal that substituted VT for Syracuse.

I can see the legislature trying to force UVa to tell the Big 10 "no" unless VT came along, but if VT to the SEC is viable, VT would rather be in the SEC. Plus, the Big 10/Delaney won't be strong armed by the boys in Richmond. They can find someone else to fill UVa's position.

What about 50 years from now?

UConn to the ACC next (I guess the ACC thinks they are preferable over Memphis).

Sounds like the SEC is an easy choice over the B1G then!

There's a possibility (someone mentioned it) that a there is going to be a stat correction on Arian Foster's yardage by +12 yards, which should change my 0.72 point defeat to Jungle Rat this week into a 0.48 point victory.

Jets versus Patriots as the Thanksgiving primetime game was just a bad decision by the NFL and shows how much they fell in love with the Tebow hype-train

just an awful mismatch

I sorta miss those douchebags from the AFC East over at worldcrossing. Those were some mentally fucked up dudes.

Speaking of rigged. The Texans got a gift win today. If I knew any better I would figure somehow Wiz was involved in that fuck up.

I find the fact that during the game with the Schwartz/Harbaugh postgame dustup last year, during the game Harbaugh made an error and got a 15 yard flag for challenging a play, and Schwartz was caught on camera yelling "Know the rules, Harbaugh!" across the field pretty amusing after yesterday.

The rule is dumb. If they want to enforce the penalty for throwing flags, go ahead and give them the unsportsmanlike penalty, but at least still review the damn play to get it right.

Don't blame the refs. They did exactly what they were supposed to see. If there is a question, you are supposed to swallow the whistle. It would have been an automatic review and overturned and nobody would have said anything bad about the refs. They still shouldn't. Schwartz should have known better. The rule is a bad one and should be changed, but as long as it's there, the refs should act just as they did.

Swartz should have also run a play in overtime on third down to get closer for his kicker.

That play should have been overturned regardless. The integrity of the game was tarnished yesterday much like aTms cheap attempt at cheating in our fantasy league the other day.
