TD did end a little disappointing.

LOL at Brian Williams.

Homeland wimpers as the seasons go on.

Only The Sopranos is fucking with The Wire. That's it.

I loved Fargo. It would be number one on my list.

Sopranos and The Wire would be 1a and 1b on the premium channels.

To be honest, I've enjoyed most of the HBO shows. Deadwood and Rome were pretty great.

Showtime has Shameless which is entertaining with a Bundy/Family Guy dystopian vibe

I know I can google it, but is this series based on the movie? If so, surely that's a first, no?

I liked the first two episodes of Saul - interested to see where they take it.

Gay? That does not make sense as a pejorative. The TV show "Fargo" had a rather macho and hetero antagonist in it named Lorne Malvo (played by Billy Bob Thornton), who was a mafia-type hitman. The protagonist, named Lester Nygaard (played by Martin Freeman), was, likewise, hetero. The series focused on deceit, murder, and hetero sexual escapades. In fact, I don't recall any same sex shenanigans in it at all. That is off target.

Maybe he meant gay as in lighthearted and fun loving...

While it had some humorous moments, it certainly wasn't lighthearted. The body count had to be at least 10....

Is there some rule against murder being lighthearted?

Yes.

Homeland is good. His wife in the show is hot as hell and she plays in Gotham now.

Breaking Bad should be a must watch for everyone. I have to admit you need to get through season 2-3 which can be a little dry but it is all about the character development for the following seasons.

True Detective will have a hard time living up to expectations but I think they will do okay with it. HBO rarely fucks things up. Hey Showtime, take notes. <still pissed at how Dexter ended>

I forgot about Rome. That was excellent, too.

It all started with "Dream On" for me and HBO.
