when I say blades, I just mean I didn't get cavity backs.

If blade is a particular model or brand, I didn't intend to mislead anyone.

This is actually her 3rd set. I got her some Voit which were junk and then Nikes and they sucked.

I enjoy watching her hit with her "little bertha"

Blades are a style of iron. They are forged out of a single piece of metal, are usually very small, and are called blades because they look like a small, thin blade when set down behind the ball. The other style is the cavity back which are usually cast in a mold and much bigger and forgiving. Those are the most commonly used type of clubs especially for beginners. Blades are a lot harder to hit but, if you can do it, a lot better.

If you're a social golfer who shoots 95-100, should you take lessons first before you get fitted or should you go ahead and get fitted first?

Spend the money in beer instead.

Get fitted first. The equipment will influence the way you set up to the ball and swing the club. So, get the best possible fit and then learn the technique. You might not need to worry about spin rates and launch angles right now but you certainly need to get the correct length, lie (upright or flat), and stiffness (depends on swing speed). If those are not right, you will adjust your swing to compensate and odds are good that the adjustment will not be a good one.

Spend the money on golf and beer. They go together. Though I don't drink on the course. I like to keep the fear up.

"the only explanation I can wrap my head around regarding your statements crash is if there is a god, he doesn't give two shits about what happens here on earth. He put the infrastructure together and now were just a big ant farm."

Another way of thinking about it that has been put forward in varying ways is that the universe is like a watch and god is the watchmaker. He made it and then it runs, but without his help or concern, much like a watch runs without any regard for whoever made it (and vice versa). Watchmakers die every day while their creations keep on ticking. Et cetera. Of course, the valid question that the skeptic (raises hand) poses is: Who made the watchmaker? You start down that line of questioning and you find it's a bottomless rabbit hole...

Mook would be proud of UCs start tonight.
(if he had any balls)

Don't think it will last though. Yet I hope it does.

He was an artful and commanding character; in the smallest thing or in the greatest, without fear or scruple; equally able to affect, equally able to adopt, the most engaging politeness or the most imperious airs of domination. It was he who did most damage to rival traders; it was he who most harried the Natives; and yet I have never met anyone, white or Native, who did not respect his memory. All felt that it was a gallant battle, and the man a great fighter: and now when he is dead, and the war seems to have gone against him, many can scarce remember, without a kind of regret, how much devotion and audacity have been spent in vain. His name still lives in the songs of the Natives.

Okay, so does Syracuse lose their #1 ranking in whatever bracket they'll be in? Does this loss drop them to a #2?

I never thought Cronin would last at UC. He's done a great job.

If we're a 1 seed, they'll put Indiana in our bracket as the 4. UNC vs. Indiana makes for good ratings, and Zeller vs. Zeller would be a good story line for a Sweet 16 matchup...
