Well, a little belated Happy New Year.

BTW, Kiffin won't be coaching the national championship game... Heading to FAU, and Sark is taking over. So sayeth ESPN, a mutual decision between all parties.

^That's funny right there.

Why did Saban hate Kiffin so much? Kiffin seemed to do a good job with the Bama offense. It's better now than when he got there.

Kiffin's always been immature and I'm sure that annoys the hell out of Saban, but he has done a good job no doubt. He probably got caught either trying to sway some soon-to-be-processed players to go to FAU or doing other FAU-related stuff and that was the last straw.

Trying to get a Bama recruit to go to FAU??

"Soon to be processed players" heh.

And hedge is also correct. FAU probably hasn't had a 4 or 5 star recruit in the school's history.

I'm not talking about starters, I'm talking about the guys who have a choice of taking a medical redshirt for their excruciating ingrown hairs or transferring out. I have no doubts that Mr. Freshwater has been using his silver tongue to try to convince one or two to live the good life in South Florida with him.

I knew exactly what you were saying. That's why it merited a heh. Maybe it even deserved a heh heh.

AA will be pissed, though.

Kev,

It had nothing to do with poaching. At all. He did not "pull a Kirby".

We currently have a grand total of one player on medical redshirt. He has sickle cell and cardiomegaly. Despite the debunked article on Saban's med-shirting several years back, there is no truth to it. If you do not perform, you just don't get renewed. There is no gifting of med-shirts in some kind of "free education for the cast-offs" scheme. There never has been.

The Tuscaloosa News debunked that article, Kev.

Actually, anyone with a brain could easily debunk (which explains a lot in your case), but it was a website called "Grantland". Then it was affirmed by Ivan Maisel and many others.

Are you suggesting that the the Tuscaloosa News is anything other than sound source of factual journalism?

The Tuscaloosa News is actually a good paper.

That was, like all of your own attempts at humor, forced, not especially funny, and far too long (even at a mere 2 minutes)...

Isn't there some kind of college football game tonight? And isn't Bama one of the contestants? And isn't this supposed to be a Bama thread?
