They all still look pretty good. I guess they're in their mid 40s? The two chicks are still very doable.

Fallon's inner circle of true friends had to give him shit for weeks. And you know there was one guy that was like

"Oh yeah I remember her from back then. THAT'S WHO THAT WAS!! HOLY SHIT!!! YOU DID FUCK UP!!"
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Its been long enough that I'd forgotten how good this show really was. The one storyline everyone wanted closure on.

Finished watching an HBO series called "True Detective" last night. Anybody heard of it? Thoughts?

I'm not sure if you are bullshitting or are serious. We've talked alot about True Detective on here when it was showing as a new series on HBO.

They start a new season with Elisabeth Moss, Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn set in California. It will take the time slot of True Blood this summery.

I also have a question - I want to start watching Better Call Saul but I haven't watched Breaking Bad (I know , I know) - will I be lost on this show? I have the first two episodes recorded

I have the same question, actually. I'm interested if the show will only work if I am up to date on Br Ba.

You'll be fine. There are characters who are on this show and were in BB but you don't need to know anything about them to follow the story.

I was kinda kidding, I know ya'll have talked about TD, but I really did just get around to watching it lately and finished it last night. Good series. At the beginning, I was thinking Rust was under arrest and they had him pegged as the killer due to his involvement with the case (plus that gray shirt he was wearing looked like prison issue). Then when he sent the detective out to fetch him some beer, I knew he wasn't under arrest, just under suspicion (even though they were pretending to just be gathering info). They did leave it pretty open that he could be in on it, esp. with his dialog with Reggie just before Marty blew Reggie's head off. Seemed like it wrapped up too quickly, at the beginning of the last episode I was thinking there was no way they could wrap it up in 50 minutes, but they did. It wasn't a bad ending, I just thought they could've drug it out a little more (at least one more episode) and give some more back story or something on Childress. It was like when the two black detectives asked him for directions and you knew he was the same guy on the lawnmower that Rust had questioned years earlier, you knew he was involved (esp. after he said "My fambly's been around these parts for a long time"), you knew he was the guy and then they plowed right into the last episode and hunted him down, quick as you please. I did like it when he talked in an english accent....

I wasn't a huge fan of Breaking Bad. I didn't dislike it by any means and actually enjoyed it, but for my money something like, e.g., True Detective was far more compelling. Good show, but I wouldn't say great (although I did catch the last 3 or 4 episodes again this past weekend, those were really good)...

This spin off with Saul looks to be almost slapstick. Not sure if it would be my cup of tea. But I can't blame them for caiiiishing in on a quirky character...

I've read several different people rave about it so I'm interested in watching it

It's probably had less humor in the first two episodes than were in early BB.

Well, I will probably watch an episode in that case...

"Can we just kill hedge and just move on?"

Yes and no. Or no and yes. But not both...

I loved TD. I've become attached to Justified now. It's no TD, but it's a fun show if you don't take it too seriously.

1. Justified
2. Fargo
2A SOA
3. Hell On Wheels
4. True Detective
5. The Wire.

I got tired of Homeland and House Of Cards.

The reporter in the last season of The Wire was based on Brian Williams.

Homeland is starting off OK, but the marine they rescued reminds me too much of the dweb from Sex in the City who was married to the redhead. Also, Claire Danes is so crazy, it makes me think of her as the bad guy. Maybe that's intentional and they're trying to show how being too obsessed with terrorism can lead to actions that are borderline terrorist themselves (like wiring the guy's house up with no warrant or anything, just on this crazy bitch's hunch)...
