KSR which has arguably the greatest access to UK fans has been on a non-stop rant trashing Mitch and pushing Kirby Smart with a casual mention to the least of known options.

The fans are really pissed that KSR is trashing Petrino - because its a shallow attempt to tow the company line as objective journalism

The longer this lasts the better it gets.

Got it, I must've missed it when you first posted it. You were advocating UC, right? Or was UC the bigger name school that was going after him?

Well, I think he's big school talent but I'm afraid he would have done better personality-wise as a big fish in a small pond -- so I was advocating MAC schools and in particular liked Ball State. I'm hoping that UC is what he truly wanted but I'm wary that he went with the "big name" school to appease his dad, HS coach and the peer pressure expectations that he go "big time" rather than where he actually fit best. Time will tell

What consideration did he give to the school? Or was it mostly just about football?

All about football. He gave lip service to campus and education being important, but the athletic facilities at UC blew him away.

His Mom and I definitely lost the battle on this one.
